I don't know why you would let a gambler borrow money. Some players justify it by letting a degen stay in the big game. Have you ever lent a poker player money? You should never lend a grown adult money. They got serious emotional issues that only need to resolved through trauma.

Any adult you lend money to you should assume it's never coming back, especially if:
1) to a woman
2) to a gambler
3) for a business.
