I primarily play sit n go tournaments on PokerStars, although I do have a Full Tilt account as well, I just don't use it very often because I prefer Stars sit n go structure better and the fact that they obviously offer more MTT's. I have always played multi-table tournaments once in a while and always had success live and online. My main game is 6-max sit n gos on PokerStars and I am ranked 18th in average profit regarding mid stakes 6-max sit n gos . I crush sit n gos games as it is and have enough of a bankroll for tournaments, but to be honest I just don't want to deal with the variance when it hits, although I do have an roi of 71% over about 500 MTT's. I know it is a small sample size though. I am looking to be staked in any tournament 3R-200 freeze outs. I am willing to play every tournament possible to increase volume. I run holdem manager while I play as well as table ninja and they both help very much while multi tabling and allow me to know what is going on when I am in the middle of hands. I also use TOI (table of interest) but not so much for MTT's. Besides NL tournaments, I am very comfortable playing Omaha tournament's as well.
I can assure you just on a Sunday I will plan to play 30+ tournaments. I will start at 12PM eastern and register through 11 PM. I will obviously play more then just Sundays but I have such a big edge in tournaments I'm hoping I can get put in the Sunday Majors after I show I am a good and reliable player. I play full time and I have never been staked before in my life because I have always had excellent bankroll management with playing sit n gos and live cash games, but I have seen the variance in mtt's and I just feel it would be a better option to be staked right now.

I am more than confident to say that I crush the games I play and I plan on doing the same in tournaments. I know I don't have a ton of results in tournaments, but the results I do have are very good for the low volume I have played and I know I can be a successful player in them.

For reference I am very good friends with seanmo85 on PokerStars, who is also a ranked sit n go player. He is a very good friend of mine and will vouch for my play and honesty as a person. Another reference I have is Joshua Pix who is a regular contributor of Pokersavvy.com and has posted strategy videos. He is also my cash game coach and is well known. I can provide other references as well. If you want a grinder I am the person to stake. I am capable of playing many tables and focusing on each decision when it comes time, and most importantly I don't tilt. I have been playing professionally for almost 3 years now and I am very honest and have excellent references. I am in contact with many grinders and we discusss hands on a regular basis. I watch videos on a weekly basis to be sure I am learning new things often. I am surrounded by poker 24 hours a day and have the drive to succeed in tournaments. My stats speak for itself. I am also on AIM all the time and can be contacted 24/7. Whether you decide to stake me or not I appreciate the consideration. Below is a link to my OPR.

Thank you in advance,

Hours I play poker: As i work usually till 4-6pm weekdays i play 5-midnight or 6-midnight mon-thursday, friday i hang out all night with ppl, saturday i play from generally 9-10am until 5pm or so, then hang out with ppl. Then on sundays i play usually 10-noon until about midnight.

f. References – . Jschnett, zedvron, ssnyc, Brad2002tj, halsted, olycrawford, kolotoure.

Currently running a stake on cake for halsted over the past 3 months i have played well over 1k games (1100-1600) on a site with low volume playing mostly 1-55$ mtts, i have profited 2200$ on the stake playing mostly nlhe/plo8.

How long I have been playing: I started studying when i joined 2+2 1yr and 9 months ago and have taken it seriously ever since.

Why I would like to be staked: Trying to build up a roll, have life expenses that must be taken care of and thus unless i am backed i can never move up to the limits i desire to play at. Also while i feel i have a good preflop and postflop game the coaching aspect of the stake (you maybe going over the rare session or strat discussion) would be cool and help me make the transition from a micro grinder to a mid stakes grinder.

What My long term goals in poker are: Make enough so i can travel the world while i play, 20-40kyr+.

j. What games I would like to play: I'd like to play 2$ 90's, 2$ 180's 3$ 90's 4$ 180's, 1-11$ mtt's, at first. and eventually get backed for 1-200$ mtts on stars/ftp, while i grind 2$-12$ sngs on my own dime on stars and grind bodog/cake on my own dime. This will allow me to have a steady stream of income and play larger field mtts while having lesser variance. For the original stake i'd perfer to have it be 50-50+sb+mu as i have played large volume in the micro limits and have proven stats, as i move up we can work it to 60-40 if desired...

My games/hours a month:

As of right now i dont have a computer at home, however im still able to play about 40 hours a week, as i generally 4-16 table (8-12 as an average but will play less/more depending on my mood and what im playing). I should be able to put in easily 500-1k games per month, and if i do well enough to buy a laptop/pc then i'll prolly be able to play an extra 20 hours a week, so i could play as much as 1500 games a month.

How many tables i usually play: 4-16 usually 8-12

Past staking arrangements:

Halsted, Olycrawford, pokerbytrade.com.

Halsted: currently getting backed by on cake, their aim is brianpokeremail.

olycrawford: Have been backed by him previously, and am getting backed by him for some micro volume on ftp to cover some MU owed to him. His aim is olycrawford.

www.Pokerbytrade.com : 6 months ago i was running a small stake on stars for 250$, and due to some life issues+running bad with poker, i went into life tilt, played 2-4nlhe and blew the roll. I have since then paid back the player. Outside of that if you check my staking history on there i have profited over 2500$ for my backers on there, i have treated all of my backer's money with the utmost care, and have done my best to clear MU if i owed, and to use bankrolls wisely. I made a mistake, and have dealt with the consequences, i am not perfect, but i do my best to treat my backers and their money with the respect they deserve for putting their faith and money into my hands.

I have delt with multiple 500$-1k+ stakes dealing with large volume and understand the amount of variance involved in poker.

Tilt controll: I wrote an article recently and put it up in BQ, 5 star thread that every1 loves....

http://forumserver.twoplustwo.com/13...-enemy-699690/

Here's why you should stake me:

While i have made mistakes in the past, i have done all that i could to right my wrongs, i am not perfect, i ****-up but i'm willing to man up to it and face the consequences, and do what it takes to make things right.

I am constantly working on my game and trying to get better (most of my posts come from the MTT section) and have the drive and dedication it takes to become one of the better mtt'ers. I can put in the volume, i am willing to start at the micros, and i desire to run as high of games as you are able to stake me (as long as i feel i am +EV in them and they dont have toooooo much variance. I.e: i wont ever get more then a K or 2 into MU, muchless 200k ).

I am also a multi-skilled player, i am happy playing nlhe (hu, 4max, 6max, fr), plo8, razz, plo, horse, sngs, mtts, cash. I have made many plo8 rebuy FT's on cake, and nearly ft'd the 11$ scoop plo8 (7k runners i busted in like 15th) and the mini ftops plo8 i took 18th outa 2600 runners, i have also ft'd the 11$ horse mtt on stars multiple times. Also i have won, hu mtts, 4max, 6max, FR, nlhe, plo8, flo8 mtts. I am a diverse player and have tried to become a good poker player, not just a good nlhe mtt'er.

Thank you for your time. Gl with your staking endevors.

looking to get backed for mtt's anywhere from 10-50$ range i can play 30-50 a day 5 days a week
02-20-2010 , 03:59 AM
copied this from xaviers thread:

1) PS name (if you don't play there state why) moneyinbag
2) FTP name (if you don't play there state why) no not baxter
3) Other sites played on with names
- absolute - zbthoosiers
- ub - time to dance

4) # of MTTs you can play on a weekly basis (be realistic) I can play a ton and really want to put in a lot of volume this year. I would probably guess I would average 3-4 days a week + sundays. I also play all the small stuff like $3 rebuys and $26 freezouts which I think is really profitable and stupid for hsmtters not to play.

5) Why you are looking to get backed
I want to get backed for a few reasons. I would like to be put in soft live events/ bigger online tournaments and not have to worry about selling shares off or taking big bankroll shots. Also, I am only looking to get backed if the right deal comes a long. I want to be backed by a great player that could teach a few things and take my game to the next level. I don't really recognize your 2p2 name (no offense!) but it sounds like you back quite a lot of great players so it sounds like this could work out.

6) What your expectations for getting staked are
Good communication about everything and the opportunity to talk poker with new people
7) References (if you don't have references say that)
I have a ton of references. I don't know who to really write here, but we can talk about this more if you are interested.
8) Any other information you think may be pertinent for me to know

2) FTP name: FGEasiest

http://www.officialpokerrankings.com...47176.html?t=2

4) # of MTTs you can play on a weekly basis:

around 20-40

5) Why you are looking to get backed:

I really want to improve my game and bring in more volume in mtts. Main reason is to get in touch with people who can improve my game and as a result play more volume and make more money.
It would easily motivate me to play my best game all the time im playing cause i want to have a good deal for both
There are some more reasons which i can tell you if you write me.

6) What your expectations for getting staked are

play a lot more volume, get better via coachings and a deeper contact to the community, move up, make money

7) References (if you don't have references say that)

Yeah i was coached for some time by a top 100 player on p5s. i sent you the name when you mail me, dont want to put his name in a public forum... but he´s fine with talking to him.

Background

Twenty year old male living in Cambridge, England. Started playing in september 07 and have been playing full time for a year now, since then i have profited $150k+ including a 2nd in the stars yearly TLB tournament.

Looking for a backer because im on a downswing right now + had to set aside money so can't play HSMTT's as comfortably as I like to (300 BI's).

I read and discuss strategy alot and am always trying to improve. The stake im looking for includes all freezouts up to $500, rebuys up to 50 and 109 rebuys on a sunday. I will play every sunday, plus a minimum of 4 other days. Willing to start at lower stakes.

I have a couple of people who can vouch for me but no more as im not a constant forum poster but have been a trustworthy member of the community for 2 years now. Never been backed. We played/met very briefly at WPT barcelona last year, was friends with carter phillips.

I am Interested. I rencently made a large purchase and cashed out leaving myself with a smaller roll and then went on a downswing. I have 30k profits combined Stars/Tilt playing 20-109 freezeouts, 22r's and under. I have been backed before which ended on good terms, I had enough profit for the both of us that we ended the deal and I played on my own. Now after my purchase I am looking to be backed again. I can give references and get you in contact with my previous backer upon Request. I am also semi new to Two plus Two but a long time and respected Pocketfives.com member.

Background Information:

I am 21 years old and started playing poker in 2004 during the "Party Poker" era. I was immediately hooked and since that time, my sole source of income has come from poker. I have been a winning player since my second $50 deposit and have not deposited money since that time with the exception of reload bonuses.

I have played up to and including $5/$10 NLHE cash, $30/$60 LHE cash and $500 MTT's. I have played upwards of 1-2 million hands and I have numerous databases from difference computers with results from each cash game variant. I have played profitably up to $2/$5 NLHE live and $20/$40 LHE live. I have numerous live final tables and multiple outright victories.

I have always been a cash game expert with tournaments thrown in the mix. I have since been burnt out with cash games and have decided to devote most of my free time studying and playing MTT's. It is my opinion that the variance of MTT's is far too great for my current situation and would love to be staked to reduce my risk. Recently, I have been hit over the head with the great wonder of MTT variance. I have found that it has taken a gigantic toll on my confidence.

Today, I am a senior in college and will be graduating in December 2010. I have spent the better part of a year to a year and a half focusing on my studies and limiting poker.

NOTE: This coincides with the date most of the tracking sites started. This does not provide a good overall picture of my poker career. I will provide my own personal PT stats and graphs for any potential backers.

However, as graduation looms closer, I am looking forward to taking a year or two off to focus solely on poker until I pursue a different career with my B.A. in Finance and Economics.

Why I'm looking to get staked:

I have never imagined that I would be writing a letter like this to the 2+2 community but I have since come to realize that getting a stake in my current situation is by far the most + EV decision coming out of college.

I am currently living on my own and my financial obligations are higher than I initially expected; furthermore, I will be coming out of college loaded with debt. Right now, I simply do not have the bankroll to support the games I wish to play.

I am willing to do sweat sessions, AIM conversations, or anything else to help you learn more about me. I will also e-mail any databases and/or stats you would like to view if you are serious about this offer. I am willing to discuss a wide range of deals. I am also willing to keep up contact daily and at your convenience.

I am mostly seeking MTT staking (Up to $75 FO's, $22r's, Select Sunday Majors) and all forms of SNG's (Up to $50's).

References:

I can provide numerous references if you would like all of whom can vouch for my reliability; I have also staked countless players and know a lot about how it works. I have also been backed myself before. I have done many transfers with reputable posters, including high stakes transfers. I have also done multiple T$/W$ transfers in the past. My references include, but are not limited to: Timmy720, AK87, xSCWx, ArgentinaBoy, sightless, and RankMeNOW.

I have also met and spent time with numerous reputable posters on 2+2 at Turning Stone for the past 2-3 years. I have even had dinner with the infamous GobboBoy (he didn't lose credit card roulette, so unfortunately, he didn't have to pay for us).

I am open to just about any schedule and can play up to 20 tables, although I prefer 12-15. I can put in lengthy sessions and can play up to 45-60 Tourneys/SNGS/Day. Probably totaling 150-200 Tourneys/week+. And/or 2,000-3,000 hands/cash per week+ if applicable. My past staking arrangements have been very simple. I was sent a set amount of money 50/50 profit split and square up when agreeable. This is also how I have arranged my own personal stakes in the past.

What I hope to gain from a stake:

Obviously making money is the primary goal. I am looking to achieve a profit of 100k after a year. This, in my opinion, if I put in my full amount of volume is very doable. I also would like to have a personal relationship with the staker including other horses and have a friendly and comfortable arrangement. I enjoy talking poker with avid players and players who wish to improve their game through the help of others. I have taught many players and still continue to coach and talk about the game with others. I am open to any sort of arrangements and length of arrangements. I am looking forward to hearing from you soon.

Hi, my screen name on PS is ElkY_PL and Oczko on FTP. I'm very interested in playing nothing but MTTs, I'd love to be able to play 100+ /week. I'm 19, currently un employed, single and living by myself.. so I pretty much do nothing but play poker for a living right now. My results right now arnt the greatest because I use to just play for fun but I'd be willing to grind $12 180's, until you agree my result are impressive enough to play $10-$75 mtts.. Please contact me either way, I'd be willing to pay you half back if I lost? My email is pokeherpheen at hot mail if you want to make a deal.
