Offering Coaching/Staking deals for PLO 6m cash games

About Me

Long time pro, playing Professionally Since 2007 and PLO 6m since 2009. Results from last 2 years below. I have gotten coaching from a few good coaches over the years, and done some coaching of my own . I feel I am very good at communicating ideas and getting people to learn and improve and also very good at identifying leaks quickly and showing students how to plug them.

About my game
: I play pretty TAG, although looser in the last year than in previous years. I've improved significantly myself in the last 18 months. Stats 33/22/8 for 2014.

Results from last 2 years

http://gyazo.com/cb489f276a34eee2c11dd221b7daf230

EV bb winrate 4.91 in that sample, from 2/4-50/100

Quote from my most recent student :
""Thanks for the 9 months of coaching. It was a huge help and I wouldn't have been able to take the steps I have since coming back to poker without it. I definitely feel like I'm faaar better than I ever was and have the potential to take a run at the tough 10/20 and 25/50 games if they run in 2015"

What I am offering

Long term deals (1 year minimum, but most deals probably 18 months/2 years) coaching/staking deals for PLO cash games I am looking for lower stakes players struggling with the games for whatever reason, who I will help improve their game to get a much better winrate and provide the bankroll to move up.

Under this deal, I provide the bankroll and coaching.

Coaching will be a mix of group/individual sessions (depending how many people I work with) and the amount of hours offered will also vary, depending on length of deal, split, and where the student is starting from in terms of stakes and ability. I imagine something like 1-3 hours a week to start with, with time getting less frequent and intense as the deal goes on and the students improve. Coaching will consist of
• DB review/leak finding
• Video review - me of student, and students of my play
• Hand analysis via email and forum and/or Skype group for everybody in the group
• Working with PPT/Odds Oracle and PokerJuice
• Analysing opponents to find leaks in their games
• Advice on game selection, bankroll management, best sites to play at

I will also be providing Mental Game Coaching with Elliot Roe to all the students I recruit - the cost of this will be 50% borne by me/50% borne by Student (from their share of profits)
I will also be happy to do some "mental game" coaching of my own with students, help them with poker related problems or productivity problems...I have alot of experience in this area, having worked Extensively with Tommy Angelo, Jared Tendler and Elliot Roe. I have a very strong meditation practice which I think is very helpful for poker(and life in general) and would be happy to share this with any students

I feel very confident in my ability to turn intelligent, hard working and trustworthy students into 6 figure (yearly) winners

Split
variable and depends on the student where they are starting from etc, but probably default starting at 50/50 moving towards 60/40 or 67/33 to the student as the deal goes on and profit targets are met, etc. I want the students to be very motivated to learn and improve and put in volume.
The terms will vary, but the split will include all profits / rakeback / bonuses

Stakes to start at
Will obviously depend where the student is already at, but in some cases the level they are already at until their games improves (only a short number of weeks probably) and in others 1 level above where they are already at, maybe 2 ( eg 25/50 cents to 5/1-1/2 after 2-3 weeks of coaching). I would be looking towards building for all my students to be playing midstakes, where possible, something like 1/2-3/6, maybe even 5/10 10/20 if I find very good students who I can trust with those sums of money. Basically, there is scope to grow into playing up to those stakes on a long term deal, if you are very good work hard and we develop trust.

What I am looking for

Low-Mid/Lo stakes PLO players who are willing to invest time and effort into their game and education
In order to get better and to make more money.
Consider : If you are stuck at 50c/1 and cant move up because of the rake, needing to pay for life expenses, or just cant figure out how to beat the games, if I move you to 1/2 and you maintain the same winrate (very realistic with some coaching and less rake bb/1) then you are making the same money as before (more with rakeback infact) , not experiencing any financial swings yourself, while improving in your game in large, noticeable ways with further opportunities to move up and improve.

Candidates must be
• ideal candidate is playing PLO 50-200. I will consider non PLO Players but would need to be very convinced by their willingness to work very very hard and their intelligence/ability to learn and to deal mentally with the swings of PLO>
• Be playing full time, or willing to commit to doing so
• Be willing to put in alot of hours ; ideally 4-5 hours playing 6 days a week, and extra time on coaching/working on their game on their own, watching videos, etc.
• Have references/people willing to vouch that they are trustworthy, hardworking, etc
• Be based outside the US /able to play on all major sites
• Speak Fluent English

I am also willing to take players at the higher end of the scale (already playing 1/2 2/4 ) on deals where we both contribute to the bankroll :giving the player a bigger split of the profits...something Like I put up 75% of the money vs players 25% , so based on 50/50 to start with, player gets 50% + 25% of the other 50%, for 62.5%.

I am willing to take players playing very low stakes, f I can be convinced of the reasons why they are there and why they cant move up on their own, and of their intelligence, willingness to work hard and be trustworthy.

To repeat something I said above, I am very confident in my ability to coach intelligent, hard working and trustworthy people into 6 figure (yearly) winnings (and more)

The best way I have heard this type of deal (coaching/staking over long term) described is akin to going to University ; its investing in your education and future

4 All relevant results, graphs, etc for poker career
5 References - the more the better, detailed, contact details, how you know them, to what extent they would vouch for you, etc.

Praetor is offering an excellent opportunity here, he will be a great coach to take your game to the next level.

I would recommend this to any LS player looking for a chance to substantially improve their PLO not just for the period of the stake but for their career.

GL and I look forward to working with some of you.

How much volume monthly could you get only on US facing sites from 5/1-3/6? If its substantial, I might consider it, if everything else about the application was good..it does put extra risk on my funds though having them on US facing sites so would have to account for that. Are you totally unable to relocate?

I might consider a deal with a US based player who would relocate after 3-4 months if things are going well/to-plan

If you had enough PLO experience / willing and able to work very hard and everything else about application was great (particularly references) I'd consider it...

I don't play PLO but I do know OP knows his stuff.

I also know he's about as honest as they come. I have met him personally many times (we live in the same city) and have done several years worth of business together.

Good luck to anyone taking him up on the offer. You will very likely come away happy you did.

Not a PLO reg, but consider OP a personal friend/have met him in person many times.

He's a great guy/very easy to work with. Like revlis said, I expect anyone who takes him up on this offer to come away happy they did.

I'm also a friend of Praetor and have talked a decent amount of poker with him, and he's definitely a tough player with a solid thought process and would make a great long term coach.
