Warning to those seeking stakes and offering stakes. There are multiple users in these threads trying to steal your information and money disguised as a staking deal. You can take the following precautionary measures in order to avoid this.

1. Do not! Download any type of remote access program to share your screen, these may include; Anydesk, TeamViewer, or any other TCP remote share software. - this software is used to deploy scripts that demote your Administration rights changing the local group policy settings to “user mode”. This can mean the user can take control of your pc/ other network devices whenever they like.

2. Do not! Download any third party programs in order to view the “backers” requested site/ access the program. There is a scam here by which they say the site cannot be accessed from a normal web browser or pc and that you need to use their special vpn- this is a scam, this file is a server file that opens up the ports on your firewall, changing your remote procedure call settings to essentially call “home”.

3. If it sounds too good to be true it usually is. No one backs and offers insane deals on sites that are readily accessible, if there was a site that had low traffic, lots of fish, it certainly wouldn’t be public.

4. Turn on your windows firewall!

4. Turn on real time protection.

5. Change local group policy settings to disable the starting of scripts on the local drive.

6. Run “powershell” “disable-psremoting” , this command will disable remote access to the pc.

Remember even if they pay you , they still may have other motives. Only share screen using discord! There is no reason for anyone to install anything on your pc or remotely access your pc.

If you are requested to do any of the above, immediately contact the mods with a screenshot and brief explanation.

Cheers

In general if anyone knows you play poker/online poker you should never download any files from them. Random people on discord send me random files (and im sure a lot of them are legit) but I never download or open anything and never click any links. If somebody knows you play poker you are an easy target.

Stay safe

I know that a lot of poker players (lot of my friends too) are not nerds or computer experts, but hey just use Virtual Servers to avoid scams...
You can install anything on those computer and nothing will go on your main OS.

Just search on google "virtual servers". They are pretty easy to find, costs no more than 10$ per month for basic plans and give you the most effective weapon against scammers.

Have a good life everyone!
