Can someone explain how a "Team" Tournament works? Can someone explain how a "Team" Tournament works?

Trying to play all the freeze out events in the online championship (which is like, 5) How does a "team" tournament work? When I regged I had to choose a team... doesn't bother to explain further.

Thanks for the help.

A portion of the prize pool is set aside, and ultimately split evenly between members of the 'team' (among the two) that scored the highest overall finish.

They're stupid. Still, when team mtts were held in Delaware when the player pool was segregated from NV, they would draw more entrants than normal.

Just to make sure I understand correct... basically, whichever team finishes first splits the "team pool" money evenly among all the players on that team, regardless of where that person finished?

The above can't be correct considering that I was on the team that finished first, but did not win. How can you offer a tournament without a basic explanation of what is going on.

Play any SNG or regular tournament and it is a "team" tournament. Bunch of shady colluders all over the place.

I assure you it's correct. If you were on the winning team, you will have won an equal share of the 'team' part of the prize pool, independent of your individual finishing place. It's a small porkchop for those on the winning team who don't cash.

I am not questioning the fact that the winning team collects a prize... my question is, as I understand what you said earlier was, I was on the "Red" team, a "Red" team member finished First (won the tournament) yet team "Blue" was awarded the "Team Prize Pool" So my confusion is, how do they figure which team wins?

Admittedly, I don't know the exact point system used. I do know that every entrants' finishing position is included.
