SH: 1/2 Turn barrel worth ? SH: 1/2 Turn barrel worth ?

SB - VPIP 40 PFR 25 AQ 56 WTSD 41 - 400 hands

Is it worth to barrel again. Ahi hits my range, but it also hits part of his range.

I expect him to c/r any piece of board on the flop, so after he peels I put him on overs and maybe low PPs.

Poker Stars $1/$2 Limit Hold'em - 5 players

Pre Flop: (1.5 SB) Hero is BB with T K
3 folds, SB raises, Hero 3-bets, SB calls

Flop: (6 SB) 4 7 9 (2 players)

Final Pot: 6 BB

I suspect villain may even c/r the flop with small pocket pairs. Putting him on overcards seems pretty reasonable as he could also have c/r this flop with quite a few draws.

Villain will definitely have a lot of Ax hands in his range, and the Ace on the turn will look as scary to him after you bet (as it does to you) if he doesnt have an Ace.

So, I like your turn bet/fold and the way you played your hand.

What about cbehind and decide whether to call or not a river bet.

My hand kind of has SD value and betting the turn would make some worse fold and not much better fold actually. Overcards that didn't improve would be KJ, KQ and this is the only better part of his range we can get to fold.

To me it starts being a good idea to check behind and call non Q,J river cards ?

I like checking behind and calling most rivers. I think it's pretty close though - his junk hands get an extra shot at 5 outs or so on average? Which is like 0.4BB, so he needs to give us 0.4BB off of the 90% of those that miss... so, if he bets 50% of his junk when checked to it's pretty close in EV (we also get some outs against his few small pairs that decided to check/call their way to the end but that EV is probably evened out by not folding out KJ/KQ).

I think this is just a question of what we know of his flop craise, turn craise and bet when checked to oop stats, if we have something usable there.

If he bets a lot when checked to, I like check calling more, same if he is more weighted to turn craise than flop craise. If he craises flop a lot and doesnt bet a lot when checked to, I like the turn bet/fold.

My default play would be to check and call, but I think I like that too much, so this got me thinking about raising in those spots.

villain's stats suggest he would x/r flop with most draws and pairs, leaving Ax and overs in his check/peeling range. unless he's gonna take ui K/Q hi to sd, i prefer check back turn and call most rivers, Q rivers are kinda ugly, but almost all other cards look pretty safe.

*g - learning to evaluate hands away from the table. Take anything below with a pinch of salt *

If villain's range is overcards here I think checking the turn is best. You avoid a check-raise when behind, folding the best hand when ahead to a lose aggro villain's check-raise semi-bluff, and you induce a bluff on the river when ahead for the price of barreling the Turn.

According to my stove (if it is relevant) ATs+, A8s, KQs, KTs, QTs+, Q8s, JTs, J8s, ATo+, A8o, KTo+, K8o, QTo+, Q8o, JTo has about 63% equity here. It is possible I have put an incorrect range into pokerstove!
