Did I get angled here?

I sit down in a 5 handed 10-20 game, with 3 player sitting out. Post my sb and only other active player leaves. I keep auto post on b/c I'll play anyone to start a game. 1 of largest volume regs sits in which surpises me, I have button he times out and doesn't post. New player join, new game starts and first hand will be HU with me having button, he doesn't post. Third game starts he gets the button and I post BB.

There are probably 4-5 regs that I won't play HU against once a game breaks. I'm pretty sure that at some point I have told that player I don't want to play HU in the future if a game turns 2 handed they won't get screwed out of posting SB thinking I'll play HU. While I don't expect similar treatment from others, I don't think its to much to ask for a reg to not go out of his way to screw me out of a button.

I don't know if you got angled. If a game goes down to 2 handed between me and another reg, if I am not able to sit out in time, I always try to play 2 hands so we both get the button once.

Out of curiosity, who are the regs you won't play HU?

A lot of it depends on how good the action is at the moment and how many tables are running. If I have 6+ decent games going I would probably quit most decent players heads up. While I'm sure that I am forgetting quite a few, some of the regs (this is just for 10-20/15-30) that I won't play hu are tryptamean, unguarded, gdebora, jadajada, loldonkaments, tpiranha if hes playing that small, and I probably wouldn't play you as well. At higher stakes, there are far more, but it would take to long to list.

How would you play 99 in his/her place?

B/3B/call down a cap UI obv.

I would bet the flop expecting villain to fold reasonably often on this scary board. I think the pot is too big to c/f.

I'm hearing a lot of 'the games'll be crap after 1 June' due to some US govt change.

So what's the deal?

Will an average guy be able to stick $$ on PS on a saturday night with his credit card? (not sure if he can even do that now)

Nah, talked to pokerstars guy at our local PS event and he said that nothing would change.
PS are supporting UIGEA but they are not a gambling site, they are gaming site. So e-checks will still work.

I'm thinking on starting to play on Stars. The problem is that I still want to continue playing at the other 7 networks I play which means that I won't play many hands each month.

Is it anyone who can say how much "rakeback/VIP" you can get for raking $500 a month.
And how much you have to rake a month to reach a rakeback/VIP around 25%.

If it is an inappropriate question just ignore my post.

$500/month is 2,750 VPPs if you play 6max. If you put in a little extra to get 3k a month, you'd hit gold star. 2FPPs per VPP = 6000FPP per month. If you save up to get the $1500 bonus at a 0.15c/FPP rate, you're getting 16.5% rakeback. So no, not really worth it unless you can at least get to platinum - 7,500 VPP per month.

Last edited by Ixiterra; 05-29-2010 at 07:29 AM. Reason: ps - it'll take forever to save 100k fpps for the $1500 bonus so the rate is even worse, but there are stellar rewards too

you should count into the stellar rewards.

APanage, I think if one goal is make good profit from rakeback, PS is not your site if you dont get SN. (I have seen you get good rakeback deals, close to SNE!)
