Maybe not, but you can't beat 5/10 either

Could be I'm playing at the wrong times. Most of the tables I see are six tags and lag/tags passing chips around clockwise while stars takes their commission. I just imagine a Mr. Burns type figure at Stars watching these games thinking "Smithers look - we're slowly draining all their accounts and they just keep playing!"

I was joking, giving a read that's the opposite of your reputation. It wasn't supposed to level you, but that was pretty funny when it did. Who the hell said you're a nit? lol @ them, but bet they're joking too though unless you're getting coaching from doughnutz. You might be kinda tight pre (seriously) and could value bet a little thinner, but that's it as far as nittishness. I've played with you tons and prolly have one of the better reads on you on the forum. You want that posted publicly?

I always thought "the Beast" was an alliterative reference to "La Peste". My bad.

I did submit a video for doughnutz to do a review of for stox, that was like 2 months ago though so I am starting to think he is dissing me. 2_basic thinks I am a nit, and I am pretty sure he is serious. I guess I don't want the super super secrets out about me, though you are right about missing river value bets.

A lot of you guys are starting to make me feel bad about my laziness. My note taking system is triple tiered, I give 3 notes: superfish, fish and semifish. Super-sophisticated I know. Also I still can't figure out how to use stove, but that's probably because I never try to.

Given your comments you probably don't want me to post my read on you, I think you already know what they are though.

Notes are overrated imo. I don't think I ever take them.

it's cuz you have 14 tables needing action from you by the time you get done typing a note

(I never take notes either -- having a note from March 2008 saying "gives up with overs on turn if u/i" serves no purpose)

I've been trying to play some more 2/4 lately. Am I right in my observation that it's basically the same level of skill as 1/2? Or have I just been lucky with my table selection?

Playing against you is an elementary handreading exercise and it baffles me how you can believe your 22/16 style even remotely resembles optimal. You have almost zero potential to move up beyond 2/4-5/10 based on these leaks alone. Oh, and welcome to 2p2!
Wow, what an assh..

Actually that's awesome, thanks for the feedback and I mostly agree with your assessment of my playing style except it's more like 25/19

I also agree that without bringing my game up to the next level or two I will have a hard time at 10/20. I'm really particular about my table selection and 5/T doesn't seem like it'll be too much harder than 3/6 but yeah I agree that I'm far too straightforward atm.

I'm extremely eager to learn how you opened up your game from the presumably straightforward style you started with as a beginner? Do you have skype or something?

Also to someone who asked about where I learned to play I started out with p0kerstrategy and that was enough to get me to ~2/4 then I got a DC sub which made me able to beat 3/6 and hopefully 5/T

For anyone who's seen Hikaru No Go, I'm hikaru and unguarded is my touya akira.

@pokerpinda : it's more or less the same, maybe the regs are more competent and there's a bit more of them but if you practice good table selection you shouldn't have too much trouble.

Did I just get owned?

Terrorblade, just explore 2p2 and watch poker videos and play a lot imo. Make strat threads about spots that consistently confuse you. Do searches and you can find entire threads w/ some of the best posters chiming in about how to improve fast. But it usually just boils down to don't play more than 4 tables, watch videos, play a lot, post here, play with Pokerstove, look over your sessions, etc. Defend your blinds way way way more, raise pre-flop way more, steal more, isolate more, raise limpers from the blinds more, 3bet more, cap more, bluff more post-flop, call down slightly more. Right now, you throw money away when you're easily good enough to play these hands profitably. It's especially important to do these things since you like to play short-handed. It's more fun too.

i've been finding the 2/4 tables playing a lot more aggressively. at 1/2, i was able to find some really juicy tables with loose passive players everywhere, i'm lucky if i find a couple in 2/4 at the same table.
