Here's kind of how that thought process went, IIRC. Seth was really active in pots, pretty much running over the table, as many of you are prone to do. I knew up until this point that I had some showdown value, but Doug is incorrect when he says I never fold a hand better than A4. But there really is no such thing as a standard line when you're playing a tough opponent BVB.
So the queen drops on the river. My instinct was that it was 75% that he'd bet again if checked to. So I could check, but I don't want to check and call because my hand strength is a little too low for that. And I can't check/fold because I've gone this far with my wheel draw, ace draw, high card strength. So I donked. I knew that Seth wouldn't buy it as an "lol, I have the queen" bet, but I didn't really think he could put me on total air, and its really tough for him to raise again here with something that doesn't beat a queen.
I was bummed when he called, until his hand got mucked. I had to check the replayer, and saw what happened, and realized I got pretty lucky there.
