I see no reports of Stars HUD not working.
You probably mean new update right, not install? When did that happen?

Btw, there is no need to update Stars, if everything is working fine for you. If there is some major update, you will be forced to update it anyway. In other cases, just run PokerStars.exe file.

thanks I figured it out in the meantime, they changed the HH folder and HEM couldnt autodetect it

I downloaded new Stars client 7 and it is a disaster for Limit games because now Limit is not the 1st choice of games and mean the dead of Limit.

Many recreationnal players just play the 1st available choice of games and don't care of Limit or No Lmit and i think they enjoy Lmit even if they don't know the game because it is an action games and they can see many flops. With new Stars client many of them go now play No limit and the traffic shut down quickly for sure.
Pokerstars is the LAST room to have LIMIT as 1st choice of game and almost the last to still have decent traffic.
I saw dead limit on Ongame on april 2008 when they changed lobby and limit became 2nd or 3rd choice ; same on ipoker in 2009 when they updated lobby and no more Limit 1st choice of game .
Same now on Party with new soft ; Limit is 2nd choice now and traffic shut down a lot.

Please Stars keep Lmit game alive.

What makes limit so special that it should be first choice?

It might seem selfish to want lhe as the first choice but what dudu is saying is that it games may die if it isn't. no limit traffic is fine as it is being 2nd tab, why change it. some recs sit down at limit tables purely because they see it first, then more tables fill

the more game types available the better the game ecosystem overall. some recs play both lhe and nlhe

i know, near-zero, but i'd have thought pokerstars itself would support the idea

if i ran a site i'd put a lower traffic game first in the lobby to help it run, especially a high rake game that recs last longer in

there's also been no movement to put NL first that i'm aware of. why change the status quo if everyone's happy as is

More concerning, and more realistic to have changed before it goes live, is LHE is not available in Quick Seat. It's only NL and PLO in the game type dropdown. I'm guessing quick seat will be the default display when the client first opens.

I can't test the new client because it's only for .com players and I'm playing on .eu platform. Will do my best to try find out about these things.

I think I figured out few things, including with how the new client is working/will work. I also got some answers already.

The most important question is this one:
If we want any changes, we really need good arguments.

Dammit Corey, why did you have to go and become a Stars pro? I used to like you...

- lower traffic games being 'promoted' helps site ecology, more game types on offer = more liquidity
- it's always been ordered first, why change it now and confuse people (some recs literally just open the first table they see)
- recs last longer
- logical to order it first as it's conventionally seen as a beginner's game, a stepping stone to NL, has been around longer, is more simplistic etc.
- alphabetical order ffs

Jfc, wtf is going on with the games? Since the beginning of the month the bigger fish have gone near extinct at 5/T and below, I used to be able to get 6+ good seats for 3-4 hours straight, since the first of september every single day I've had a hard time scraping 4 good games together for over an hour.
Anyone experiencing the same? I hope it's not the new client because in that case we are ****ed for good.

I also noticed less tables at 0.5-1 1-2 maybe 25-35% less ; I think many recs just tried PokerStars 7 since is available and not reverse to PokerStars 6 after.

Every time a room updated their soft and Fixed Limit became 2nd or 3rd choice the taffic dead ; look at Partypoker Ipoker Ongame they still have big player pool but almost no Limit traffic .

One thing maybe good to see traffic is to monitor games by take a screen on pokerscout everyday at same hour during next 3 month to see how Lmit games run.
