Random uninteresting store re: Stars names.

When I originally signed up during the beta "play money only" phase my name was MoFo. When they launched properly my account was deleted on the grounds that the name might be considered offensive. Imagine my surprise when I signed up, bought in and sat down next to FourKingAceHole.

my old stars sn was holdmyboner.
04-17-2008 , 05:15 PM
hm, i just realised: i payed $4.9k in rake at stars in the last 1.5 months., going from .25/.5 to 2-4/3-6/5-T, mixed in with some nl(about $250 rake there). i got a $800 dollar cash bonus(german players only lolz) for 50k fpps and have about 32k fpps right now, which are worth about 1.5ct each(i guess), meaning i got about $1250 worth in RB, or about 25%. pretty sick, since i always assumed i got a pretty bad RB deal for really awesome software+support.

Himalaia - wow what a spaz. He can sure hit cards against me though.

Wow 2/4 seems to be the level where everybody goes nuts. The aggression is insane. Maybe it's just tonight.
04-21-2008 , 05:08 AM
well I always think the tables are calm as hindu cows as soon as I leave. but as soon as I sit in everybody goes crazy like it's D-day in French Normandie

After you play for a while, it doesn't seem that insane. Then you try 3/6 and don't even think you're playing the same game. You must be moving up.

fwiw it always feels sick aggro when moving up. especially if u dont run good, then it's just sick.
04-21-2008 , 08:56 AM
lozl. I had the same feeling when I first moved to T/20. Game felt so much agro, and I felt that they had to trying to over running me every hand. So I called everything down and lost a ****ing ton.
04-21-2008 , 10:08 AM
haha yeah that is the greatest feeling. right when you move up, you miss the first 87 flops and get played back at every time, so you finally say **** IT NOT FOLDING THEY CAN'T HAVE IT EVERY TIME and they do, in fact, have it every time. I had 9 straight pots where it was headsup between me with AK and my opp with a dominated A or K. Obv each pot at least 3bet pre, I showed em all down lost all 9. I hit 3 of the 9 times, but they either made flush/2 pair/str8/whatever. one way ticket to tiltville.

I've played up through 5/10, but I'm trying to put 1/2 behind me for good. 2/4 just seems really random loose aggressive. I've never had so many hands capped on multiple streets with draws/bottom pair (them, not so much me). I haven't played enough 3/6 and 5/10 to make the comparison. On a good note, my VPP/hand was high.

Ya, I fell into that a bit, but last night was one of those nights where my WTSD was just over 30. So many boards where I couldn't do anything.

It's funny to hear that it's not just me. Started playing .5/1 at Stars in january and now I'm rather steady at 3/6 but every step has been a pain.
Every level seems to have an 88/50 maniac waiting for me to call of all my money to his 93o...

Made it to Platinum last week so now I'm going for Supernova, another thing that looked impossible at the beginning

And just some more good nights and I'm rolled for 5/T
04-21-2008 , 11:33 AM
so after a semi-disastrous start to my 6max career I'm back at .50/1-1/2. I'd play higher but I've had to take a lot of my roll out for life issues. Supbro back if you see me ya ****ing degenerates.
04-21-2008 , 04:26 PM
skilledyou, you are a pain in the @$#.
04-21-2008 , 09:06 PM
its sick -)
04-23-2008 , 01:24 PM
madscout, dunpeal & skilledyou at same table.

30/9/0.9 to my left.

40/15/0.9 to my right.

Can you say +EV? (I'd take it 4-handed without the two passive players too.)
04-23-2008 , 02:33 PM
Hi starsplayers.

I was just wondering how much rake on average you pay at 2/4 on stars 6-max? In a comparison a friend of mine did he said the average rake on start was $0.484/hand. Is that a correct figure?
04-23-2008 , 02:35 PM
i played 12,284 hands there and payed 1,180.00 in rake.

yes
04-23-2008 , 03:29 PM
Do you get any added value to that like bonuses, FPP:s etc?

BTW Ipoker rakes twice as much as stars, but then you get 50%rb and it's the same anyway
