this makes it really sad that you're still playing 3/6

You can ask FTP for old HH's. It might take a few days before they respond, but they can do it.

2_basic - do you live in Toronto? Ever play in Brantford?
12-10-2009 , 09:07 PM
Got any information for me on Brantford?
I'm planning to go there next summer to play some 20/40 if my roll permits. How is the game? And is there any 30/60 running?

I've only played 10/20 there and a couple orbits of 5/10 while waiting for a seat at the 10/20 game. The 10/20 games were really good, but not so much past about 4 am when most people went home and they consolodated down to 1 table. Most of the people playing at that time were pretty tight and nitty.

But any time from 7pm-3am the games were good.

The highest they spread is 20/40. I have not played in that one, but word is that it's good. Do a title search on "Brantford" in the Brick and Mortar forum. I started two threads there that get still resurrected from time to time by the Brantford regs. It's about a 90 minute drive one way for me so I don't go there often.

Thx for info, seems good, I live in Montreal and I plan to go and stay there for at least a month, but it must be playing at least 20/40 to justify the trip.

you dumbasses get hung up in the details. this event did actually occur, but the details are very blurry. i actually wish it didn't occur, but it did. it was definitely 2c/4c and it definitely did start with 32c so i guess it must have been ultimate bet then. also it was probably way over a year ago, i dunno. you try to play poker with a debilitating drug addiction and pull this one off, AND remember the finer details.

So you think a smooth call on the flop and a c/r on the turn is *ever* going to fold to a 3-bet? You'd make this play with 4 of 8 outs tainted and the potential to be drawing dead? And why is it that whenever this type of hand happens, I never see someone folding for 1 bet on the river, they always catch. Whatever I was up 10BB on him for the day.

I live near Toronto, and yes I do play at Brantford...i'm a very well known action player there.

I play the 10/20 & 20/40 games. Best times are like u stated 4pm-4am..I usually start destroying & spazzing at my best when it gets down to 1 table shorthanded @2am. But the regular action players have all started to play really nitty the past year.

If you're from Mtl..there's also port perry..theres more action up there now adays bc most of the players from Scarbs/markham/etc have a shorter drive.

Port Perry does rake of $5/pot plus they take rake out for badbeat jackpot too. Regulars don't like the rake...but the bbj can get up over $100k. Brantford charges rake for 5/10 & for 10/20 20/40 it is $5/$7 30mins.

They use to run 30/60 an 50/100 on tuesdays but the games have since ceased.

Such a Card u live in Buffalo?

This just isn't THAT bad, I think your turn cap + river bet/call is probably worse than anything he did in this hand.

I could have possibly folded the river getting 14:1... but against a guy with a 2.3AF, am I supposed to call the 3-bet and check/call the river? Seems pretty passive to me in a HU pot with 2 pair. And at least for this hand I was right.
12-10-2009 , 11:50 PM
u wouldve been right if u check-folded river
