Turn K, Jetten bets 9k, Elky calls.

River 3 with no flush possible, Jetten shoves and Elky folds getting 2.5:1 on a call.
there's not 15 bluff combos in jetten's range
he isn't opening UTG, potting both flop and turn and then triple barreling the river while laying 2.5:1 against a showdown bound player as a bluff. its true that he doesn't have many value hands in his range, but he just doesn't have any bluffs in his range.

It was utg+1 actually.

My problem with the hand is that Elky is just fps-ing himself to death.

He's short and he's making a very thin flop float with not much stack behind to leverage any fold equity. He nails a "miracle" and then somehow makes a pretty thin fps-y river fold when he has a fifth of a buyin left.

On top of that it's live poker and people don't really play the same way they do online. Winning pots becomes a lot bigger factor for most than making 100% correct range-based plays.

Well, i'm pretty much done w/ poker in 2011. 600 hands of which I won 6 of 7.

This one was really nice...

Poker Stars $1/$2 Limit Hold'em - 5 players
The Official 2+2 Hand Converter By DeucesCracked Poker Videos

Pre Flop: (1.5 SB) Hero is SB with A Q
1 fold, CO raises, 1 fold, Hero 3-bets, 1 fold, CO calls

Flop: (7 SB) 9 Q Q (2 players)
Hero bets, CO raises, Hero 3-bets, CO calls

Turn: (6.5 BB) 5 (2 players)
Hero bets, CO raises, Hero calls

River: (10.5 BB) 2 (2 players)
Hero checks, CO bets, Hero calls

Final Pot: 12.5 BB
Hero mucks A Q
CO shows 5 5 (a full house, Fives full of Queens)
CO wins 12 BB
(Rake: $1.00)

River x/c is probably horribly bad, but when he raised turn I pretty much knew I was beat somehow.

i'm raising river before i fold

After seeing some more of Jetten I wanna retract my snarky statement about him. Those Canadians sure are nice people.

I was gonna call you out on that, but figured you would finish the episodes soon enough.

has anybody used both placemint and allsnap? which is better?

i started using placemint a while back. it was actually a bit difficult for me to figure out and get working properly. The only thing I cant get right is the auto-resizing in the stars software. what I'd like to do i have tables that are as small as possible on my second monitor that I could use for starting games, sitting hu, or sitting out on mediocre games. However, if you snap a window into a larger/smaller place, the stars software doesnt resize it properly. Anybody have a similar experience?

Idk cause I only use it for same sized tables, that nicely snap to each other, I can replace them with each other by dragging one over the other, and if I close one, the others fill up it's place if it wasn't in the last slot. but the biggest advantage is, it can handle stars and ft tables at the same time, so they don't open on top of each other, snap together nicely etc
If you have some buggy issue, I'm pretty sure they can help you out in the placemint thread in the software forum

all-snap is much simpler, and doesn't do any resizing iirc. I like placemint so far, but i'm not doing any sizing.

I think rubbing off on the pope is a sin. Maybe only if you're Catholic, though.
01-02-2011 , 04:39 PM
Please don't let it be pope. If he caught an actual run bad I'm pretty sure this thread would be ruined.

I don't have an answer, but if you get one, let me know. This is exactly what I want to use it for, but it never worked right on my old computer.

Is there a script that automatically opens tables of particular limits and seats you? Like, something that makes sure that you're always seated alone at one 6-max table, one FR, and one HUHU at each of various stakes?
