Well... You had a shot...

The mtt's kinda suck compared to omania. Lowest buy-in of omania was $5.5, we get $1.5 tourneys.
I really liked some of the poomania propositions, like the HU mtt etc.

Oh well, better than nothing.
07-07-2013 , 05:36 AM
you've actually managed to make the mtt schedule/lobby even worse. there use to be $10.20 hypers, $5.50 6max $500 GTD, $10 6max, and a 33 that got up sometimes. now there is just and enless list of $1.50 bs tourneys. wtf are you thinking?
07-07-2013 , 05:43 PM
Limit makes for sucky tourneys anway, I'm sure what we're all looking for is increased traffic in the cash games?

Finally something
07-08-2013 , 08:47 AM
PokerStars Nick, can i get a clarification please?

"Please Note: Heads-Up Sit & Go’s and ring games are exempt from Fixed Limit Hold’em Happy Hours."

does heads up play at 6max and fr tables receive bonus fpps during the happy hours

Just told my mate about the LHE happy hours. His reponse:

"Pff. Happy hours are the hours you spend not playing LHE."

LOL

lol happy hour, 4-5 deep waitlists for tables full of regs, multipe 10+ waitlist. so gross.

It's a terrible promotion when you think about it. VPP's are meaningless to new recreational players. VPP's are important to Goldstar+.

Hmm, maybe the promotion should be more along the lines of, play through the whole of happy hour, insta-become gold star. Or something. Have a countdown clock leading up to it.

Something similar to milestones only for game of the week would be good

I think the tables have somehow become even more reg infested then usual.

This type of promo is just a yay for the week for the regs but the game will not improve afterwards. Personally I'd much rather have not received anything extra and have the entire bonus given to players that are new to Limit.

Play 1k hands of LHE and receive a free buy in etc. would at least give new players an incentive to give the game a shot. Hand of the day or milestone hands would have had a better impact then what we've received.

Thank you Stars for the promo. Something is better than nothing and the promo do attract a lot of random players
07-10-2013 , 05:30 AM
If new players are trying the game then thats the most we can expect really. Lots of players playing the promo tourneys, if they like them, hopefully some will try the cash games too.

If players are willing to try lhe for a week then never play again after the promo, then that says it all.

This promo has probably got me back in LHE. I think I'm break-even/small winner at the game but I hope that others will also begin playing LHE. If the game stays a massive reg fest w/ all bumhunters then I probably won't stay long. Lets see what happens .

^ Welcome back to the game. We're always wanting new players.... just don't get too good.

we appreciate the promo, and without complaining, i would like to give feedback. this is good advice for sect7g

if we were to do it over; this promo would be better if supernova+ or even plantinum+ didnt receive anything or just a small bonus. whatever extra dollars PS loses to regulars getting +50% VPPs should be pumped into goldstars and below. give them double at least. and/or the lower the VIP level, the higher the VPPs.

the current system has all regs upping their table count, waitlist going deep, and regfish types getting ninja'ed so hard that they would become aware of what is happening when ordinarily most players would wait for a 3rd or 4th to sit. not to mention SNEs ive never seen jumping over to limit for points.

SN and SNE get at least 3.5fpps * 1.5 = 5.25 fpps during happy hour. giving a bronzestar quadruple vpps wont even get them to 5.25. apply the same theory up the chain to goldstars. throw in some newbie freerolls with some real payout, maybe milestones like SG said, or whatever else seems fun that falls within your promo budget, and happy hour would be far more pleasant for all.

random SNE coming over actually pisses me off a bit tbo

I disagree Nemesis. I don't think new recreational players care much about extra fpp.

I would love a promo for cash like the recent golden sng promo. Make it a random golden hand promo where there is added prize money for the winner and/or players dealt into the hand. Tables with higher %rake of the pot has an equivalent higher chance of getting a golden hand.

The lottery element is just great for attracting newcomers.

maybe it would be a good idea if the random stars deposit bonuses were split up and could be cleared playing specific games only
eg. 200 buck deposit bonus - 20 bucks could be cleared at nl, 20 at plo, 20 at lhe etc. so fish would be motivated to play everything and might end up sticking around at games they like, maybe they would even realize their money lasts longer at lhe than in nl

I'm pretty sure this would go against a stars policy where they force/push players into specific games.

I think PlsFold's "golden hand" type promo would be a great idea. Although I guess this just basically the same thing as the Billion Hand promo unless they chose to target specific games only.

Pretty much this. Luck element plus meaningful prize to chase.
