Looks good to me. He didn't cap preflop so it is less likely he has AK although I suppose he could have AQ. He could easily have 77,88,99 etc. or a flush draw or a worse Ace so make him pay.

This made me lol when I saw your /cr. Given the title I was expecting like a turn c/r semibluff or something. This is played perfectly and nowhere near spewy.

Id donk the turn. Board is pretty drawy and the ace is a pretty big scare card and he could check a lot of stuff behind here.

Drawy only to a spade flush unless he pfr'd A5, A5 or 75s and then it's a gutshot so not too bad.

If hero bets Villain can fold a lower pocket pair, although a surprising number of tards will call down with any pocket pair that they might check thru.

If hero checks, Villain might bet with a lower pair anyway.

Checking avoids raise from AK or AQ.

@OP, If Villain is a good player, checkraise only gets called or raised by a better Ace. All other Aces except maybe AT and all pocket pairs KK and down fold. However, a surprising number of tards will call down with worse hands. Just look at the kinds of call downs that get recommended on this forum constantly by supposedly good players. You have to get to know your opponnents from watching them to predict what they will do with different hands.
