It's about the overall reporting of the event. The crowd absolutely loved the speech, that much is totally obvious. The way the media covered it, though, would make readers believe he went up there, talked like a madman, and everyone felt uncomfortable and he ruined the entire event.
If you didn't like the speech and thought he should have toned it down, that's fine, I have no issue with that. But I think we've all come to realize that's just the way Trump talks. He's speaks in a very different manner than what we are used to hearing from politicians, and it infuriates the media that people actually LIKE it.
Also, it's note-worthy that in so many pictures with Obama it was always such a big deal how big his crowds were, and were constantly part of his pictures being released. Trump, not so much, if at all. When he says "they wont' show this crowd" at his speeches, he's not lying.
It's just how the media treats him. They do everything they can to disparage him, and I think it's out of frustration.
