It's obvious that the criticism from the media about his speech was made up. The crowd apparently applauded and seemed to support him. I don't see how anyone couldn't tell their reaction was positive towards him.

Plenty of member of Trump’s audience were right there with him. They clapped when he insulted the press and the specific videographers at the event. They booed when Trump made a passing mention of Hillary Clinton during an extended rant about how thoroughly he won the presidential election. They chanted “USA!” when he said that former Boy Scout and current Secretary of Health and Human Services Tom Price is “helping to keep millions of Americans strong and healthy” by getting the Senate votes necessary to start “killing this horrible thing known as Obamacare that’s really hurting us.”

Notice even the reporter admitted he got a good reaction. The entire thing is a joke. Did he get a good reaction or not? Did the crowd like his speech or not? Even the people criticizing him admit he got a good response from the crowd.

The whole thing is a complete joke. If you disliked his speech and what he talked about, that's fine. But to spin this into something it wasn't - that the people there hated it is a complete joke.

Trump has no understanding of what he should or shouldn't talk about to boy scouts but many think he's smart and playing 4D chess or whatever nonsense.

It's about the overall reporting of the event. The crowd absolutely loved the speech, that much is totally obvious. The way the media covered it, though, would make readers believe he went up there, talked like a madman, and everyone felt uncomfortable and he ruined the entire event.

If you didn't like the speech and thought he should have toned it down, that's fine, I have no issue with that. But I think we've all come to realize that's just the way Trump talks. He's speaks in a very different manner than what we are used to hearing from politicians, and it infuriates the media that people actually LIKE it.

Also, it's note-worthy that in so many pictures with Obama it was always such a big deal how big his crowds were, and were constantly part of his pictures being released. Trump, not so much, if at all. When he says "they wont' show this crowd" at his speeches, he's not lying.

It's just how the media treats him. They do everything they can to disparage him, and I think it's out of frustration.
