You posted a link about Trump's intention to open up Federal lands to energy companies for energy extraction.

And I get it. Any time you give private companies the responsibility of preserving the environment over maximizing profits, it is going to get ugly. The energy companies are going to take every shortcut, make every legal argument, and do everything they can to make a quick buck, while the natural environment suffers. So if Trump is sacrificing Federal land for the sake of using energy compaies to boost the economy, Trump obviously is not putting the protection of those lands at the top of his list.

But when he tells the boyscouts that he believes they are great custodians of Federal lands, so what?


In the moment, a certain percentage of the boyscoups might have been duped into thinking that Trump is a protector of the environment, but as a group, boyscouts are not dumb. In 6 months or 6 years or 16 years, all of those boyscouts are going to move past that moment and realize that Trump was full of **** when he made that statement to the group. And Trump will end up looking like a lying politician to those boyscouts. And the long term effect of that statement is going to backfire for Trump.



I mean, how did you feel when Obama claimed that the CIA did not do any torturing? It was pretty much the same thing, There were documents being leaked that officers in the CIA, who had all taken oaths to uphold the law and all treaties that the US does not torture for intel. And Obama, trying to save face, made public statements saying that the US does not torture prisoners for intel. And then guess what? An officer of the CIA went to the NYT and said, "bull****. we torture people all the time. and we are being instructed by executive officers of the CIA to do so."

So what did Obama do? He put the only CIA officer who had the balls to tell the truth in prison and did not admit that the CIA tortures. Much less make indictments against the officers in the CIA who were either conducting or instructing the torture.

And then you realize that Obama is just a lying piece of ****. Much like Trump in his message to the boy scouts. So why are your jimmies so rustled?
