Why is the leftist media making a controversy of Trump talking to the boy scounts Why is the leftist media making a controversy of Trump talking to the boy scounts

wtf, Trump giving a speech to the next generation of young men is somehow evil?????

I don't understand this at all, unless the media is so morally bankrupt that they'll make a controversy out of absolutely anything.

Did you watch the speech by chance? I watched it earlier.

Trump did his usual brag about winning the election, he talked about how red the election map was, he talked about loser Hillary, terrible Obamacare, and he knob slobbed Tom Price, Rick Perry, and some other guy.

In his comments on Obamacare, he was basically begging to get enough votes to repeal it in the Senate, and at one point he warned that a Senator better vote for it in a very ominous way.

He also constantly derided the media, calling them fake news, as well as polling, calling them fake polls.

These are examples of him pushing his political agenda onto impressionable children. It was not a speech of how to be a great leader or an upstanding member of society, though he did mention those token phrases. It was about trying to make himself and his abysmal administration look good, and make Obama and Clinton look bad. It was a political campaign rally in front of children. Perhaps you don't see a problem with this, but I do.

The most disgusting thing I found from the speech, was when Trump said something to the effect of "boy scouts learn what it means to take great care of Federal lands and National Parks".

**** that god damn vile piece of subhuman filth. **** that pile of garbage for uttering the words Federal lands and National Parks. **** Donald Trump, and his pathetic campaign rally to what is essentially a captive audience of children.

Giving the speech is not a problem. It's what he said that is troublesome. He essentially turned it into a political rally. I suspect he wants to start Trump's Youth.

You mean like the gay manifesto, "Sally Has Two Daddy's" books in schools, hidden penis pics and such in cartoons/childrens movies, doods kissing doods in prime time tv etc etc.

There is a evil push it seems to sexualize children, conditioning them younger and younger into thinking about sex, experimentation, promiscuity. An agenda to get children thinking about adult things, sexual in nature.

How about the "charities" that beg for money in commercials using fly-faced skinny kids..

... or the hospitals that use their cancer kids to read sentimental written scripts in commercials begging for money?

...or sleezy politicians who write scripts for children to read in scummy political commercials?

My kid and I saw a couple of Danish guys really working it on the train last week. He didn't seem to be traumatized by that. Conservative kids like No Quarter get bent out of shape and need safe space therapy because their parents teach them to do that.

I'll be honest, my inner dictator would like to behead overly affectionate couples of all genders, races, and creeds, if they get too sloppy in public, but I'm not sure why gay people on prime time TV would be a different thing to straight kissing. It's NQ though, so I'm sure he's leading us somewhere good.

Maybe he'll take us to more of a educated state of mind.

OP was at least ironically funny on occasion with other screenname.

huh? From my limited knowledge about the boyscouts, don't they do **** like clean up trash, learn how to blaze walking trails that minimilize environmental damage, prevent forest fires, and **** like that?

why was that part of the speech so infuriating?

The obvious answer is there's nothing wrong with Trump speaking to the Boy Scouts but you're supposed to put partisan politics aside when addressing those organizations and speak to the things that all Americans share in common. Talking about the lying media, random political boasts, and political promises not relevant to the Scouts don't do that. Not every speech the President gives should be a political speech.

As an Eagle Scout it's pretty embarrassing to listen to it.

I'll kind of agree there was some cringe here. PhillyD had a good video.

Trump: I will not talk about politcs.
Trump: Obama sucks!

I mean, I was laughing because I find it humorous. PhillyD also made a good point though - the audience was cheering. They hate Obama's policies as much as Trump does.

They're 11-17 years old. Not exactly the age for nuanced discussions of policy as a group. I wouldn't take the cheering one way or another.

It's the Boy Scouts, where I learned about practicing words like loyalty. True loyalty can't be coerced or demanded while also being true, in my scout-included experience. So I can see how trump discredited himself near wholly and no thoughtful individuals as scouts will be long persuaded by all the hubris and political partisan stunt craft he brought.

I think the cheering was from the parents. Better to educate 11-17 year olds on political policy over transgendered activism. Seems a little more relevant.

You're setting the bar way too low if you consider that speech educational.

PFunk's back and he's, like all the most serious anti-corruption Bernie supporters, that's right, sticking up for Daddy Trump.

Additionally, it was quintessentially lame. Trump's ability to lower the bar with every speech he 'delivers' is rather astounding.

With respect, that would be an irrelevant point.

The guy that thinks no children died at Sandy Hook is now complaining about evil children's hospitals. What an unbelievable *******.
