Lets be honest here. I grew up just a tad bit before this current generation that has been imo brain washed. Actually I'd say I grew right in that generation (born in 80s) where the media and society has taught that racism is wrong. And I totally agree with this ideology and teaching.

In the former history of America, African Americans were the victims of racism, no doubt about it.

However I see a shift in the spectrum to the OPPOSITE extreme nowadays, and that is just as dangerous. I grew up being taught that "racism" is wrong, but I was actually being pushed to the opposite side of the pole. This in effect only causes worse tensions.

For example, other day I was listening to a predominantly African American radio station, and they had a contest called "imitate a china man".

And african americans would call in and do all kinds of imitations like "2 dolla eegggroll shirmp fry rice, etc" "ching chong ding dong".

I mean lets be real here, if an asian network radio did a contest called "imitate a negro" ... the station would most definitely see protests and potentially get shut down.

Lets be real here, people are getting played badly here. Something is really off. And theres still people out there ( a lot of the younger people on 2p2 especially) that are going with the flow, and just not seeing the bigger picture here.

Why are the elite not only NOT discriminating against AFrican americans and their cultureS, and instead CATERING to it? Answer: the revolutionary times america is going thru. The elite have one thing in mind: ownage. To own the resources of this world.

This thread is pretty close to what I consider unacceptable for Politics Unchained. But I'm going to give OP 24-48 hours to make a real argument, backed up with evidence, that isn't just racist bitching. If you want to be an ass like this, you're going to need to back it up with more than one unsubstantiated radio show.

No way to measure it but it the NFL apparently thinks it is used way too much and the players using at are blacks. Hang out with enough black guys long enough and you may surprised how often the N word used. But the banter is pretty much just trash talking and it really doesn't carry any kind of real hateful intent. At least that has been my experience.

Well first of all, the fact that you locked this thread immediately, is part of the problem I'm talking about.

We make a big deal out of nothing, and it gets escalated perpetually until there really is a problem.

For example, there was a radio show host that called the rutgers womans basketball team "nappy headed hoe's". I agree that it was rude and degrading, but there really wasn't too much racism in it.

Sure racism is an insult, but all insults are NOT racism.

Do you know what is being said on black radio talk shows/ hip hop stations?

Do you know how many black people publicly refer to non blacks as "yall"?

I can find 100 million clips, whether in interviews, in conversations, of a black person refering to another group of non blacks as "yall"

Just admit it, in this day and age, if you're black, you have a passport to be racist. Any other race and you'll be called out for it.

The fact Spike Lee was front and center at NBA Commissioners Adam Silver's statements/punishment about Donald Sterling's racist comments was an example of the hypocrisy and double standard in regards to racism. The comments Lee has made in regards to whites were much worse than anything Sterling has said and would have never been tolerated if the colors were reversed.

The real social transgressions that occur today are against the economic sufferers and the convicted. Meaningful acts of racism are rare, and most discrimination is directed towards the poor, convicted, or those with opposing/minority religious beliefs.

Blacks are a subset of the population who are poorer and generally less educated and suffer the consequences based more on these facts than pigmentation. Their history of suffering through oppression and brutal discrimination obviously had an effect on where they are as a people today, however, racism based upon pigmentation no longer has major deleterious effects on their social mobility or access to opportunities.
