Rhetorical question obviously, I'm just amazed that you didn't even feel the need to justify this like most other opinions of bigotry you give on this board, as if the logic for what you're saying just speaks for itself.
Keep being amazed. If you have a problem with me not liking ESPN forcing their own ideas down SPORTS FANS (including kids) throats, then I don't know what to tell you.

There are a lot of people (who have kids who watch the draft) who find it distasteful and inappropriate.

Personally, I don't view a man kissing a woman and a man kissing a man the same way. And if I am bigot for my natural response being that way, then okie dokie Smokey. Don't care.

1992 Silverman complained how it was so terrible that kids could see Murphy Brown on TV as a single parent.

Yes Silverman, you are a bigot. So happy that the world you live in keeps moving towards things you don't like.

Men kissing men on sports shows
Racists banned from the NBA, chased into hiding, stripped of their assets and jobs
Black liberal president
Fed GOATing it up with QE
Silver in the tank
White majority in the US gone within 20 years

So I am wrong for not viewing a man kissing a woman and a man kissing a man as the same thing? My natural instinct/response should be the same for a man kissing a woman and a man kissing a man?

ITT silver doesn't care if he's a bigot.

ESPN is forcing nothing down your throat. You don't have to watch

We don't care if other bigots find this stuff distasteful, and obviously neither does ESPN. In fact they probably only care about money which would mean that they think there's more money in appearing progressive than pandering to the minority of disgusting bigots such as yourself

Must suck that the world is moving in directions that make you so uncomfortable lol

Am I wrong for not viewing a man kissing a man the same way as I view a man kissing a woman?

Because 11 year old kids watching the draft knew ahead of time that they were going to see two dudes making out.

"Wonder who is going to be selected next Dad, uhhhh why are two guys all of a sudden kissing Dad?

Not the same? Depends*. Thinking it should be censored? Definitely

Just as they didn't know they'd see a man kissing his wife. Obv that's being forced down their throat too, and if the parents don't like either one they can stop their kid watching ESPN.

Society has decided that providers are allowed to show same sex kisses with the same discretion as other kisses. Sorry about that

I don't either. I actually find watching men kiss men a bit ick.

What you're wrong for is thinking that ick isn't actually just a failing of yours that you need to learn to deal with and instead actually thinking it's something kids need to be protected from. That's the problem here. The issue isn't how you feel about watching men kissing men, it's that you feel that TV should be censored to deal with your particular dislikes.

It's pretty much the same as if you saw two midgets kissing on TV and were like EWWW MIDGETS KISSING? GROSS GET THAT OFF MY TV, KIDS COULD BE WATCHING! The world doesn't revolve around you and your personal preferences as to what is pleasant to watch. Other people have a right to live their lives and feel like normal people.

"Michael's excited he got drafted and is kissing his boyfriend"

Super hard explanation.

Yes, you are wrong if your reaction is that kids need to be protected from seeing guys kissing, but don't care if they see a guy kiss a woman.

Also, from your earlier comments, it seems like your cool with kids seeing guys kissing as long as the guy was a first round draft pick, which seems sort of odd.

More likely explanation: Silverman sees a black, gay, educated guy getting societal affirmation for his success, looks at his own life, and is rustled.

Depends on what??? It is a simple yes or no question. Don't give me this depends crap.

I don't view a man kissing a woman the same as a man kissing a man. Am I wrong???

I'm not asking you if I am wrong if I think it should be censored. Nor did I say it necessarily should be censored. But ESPN went out of their way to broadcast a man on man kiss for a 5th round prospect at best.

If Sam was elite talent and invited to the theater, and he was shown hugging and kissing his family like every other prospect invited, then there is no issue.

So again, Am I wrong for not viewing a kiss between a man and a man as the same as a kiss between a man and a woman?

If I am personally repulsed by seeing it……..am I wrong for feeling that way?

No one cares about your personal preferences Silverman.

You're not wrong for feeling repulsed by watching men kiss men.

You're wrong if you don't realise that that feeling is just a product of the way you were raised, or your own repressed fears.

You're wrong if you think "I feel repulsed by this" is a good reason for claiming kids need to be protected from it.

You know why it is odd to you???

Because it is COMPLETELY fair.

You think I am bigoted when I am more just annoyed at the sensationalism of all this crap.

If Sam is a top talent prospect and he is sitting at a table like Bortle's family, Robinson's family, Clowney's family and he gets air time like they did hugging and kissing their family and significant other, then there is no isolated hype over something most football fans don't give a **** about.

If Sam was a top 10 pick getting called up and ESPN fuzzed out Sam giving his boyfriend a kiss I would have just as much problem with that as I have with them camping out in his house as a 7th round most likely NFL nobody in reality, just to get an image of him kissing his BF.

Silver_Man it may interest you to know that any number of studies show that conservatives are more easily disgusted than liberals. Stronger emotions of disgust correlated strongly with opposing same sex marriage.

You need to learn that the emotion of disgust isn't necessarily coupled to morality. Here are some things that you might find disgusting that are not immoral:

- Couples giving each other a golden shower
- Eating worms
- A "Bull's Blood" shot, which is a shot served by wringing out the bar mat into a shot glass.

You need to think more carefully about the relationship between you feeling something is gross and it actually being wrong. If you want to argue that Michael Sam's kiss and it being shown to kids is wrong for other reasons, fine. But "I THINK ITS GROSS" isn't going to cut it.

silverman, this on point for how to have that conversation with kids. and other conversations

These two are totally incompatible bro.

I kind of agree that the media beat the story up, but so what? I don't see you getting this irate over the Kardashian pregnancy.

I'm not saying that coming from me. If a parent doesn't mind there 11 year old watching it, why should I care?

Believe it our not though, there are actually parents out there who are repulsed by watching a man kissing a man and don't want their 8th grader seeing it either.

What do you say to them?

You're not fooling anybody with this. You've already shown you think ESPN is wrong for exposing kids to two men kissing:

You don't think ESPN knows that showing this will fly in the face of a lot people's feelings and belief system, and don't want their kids seeing that?

I don't personally care that the kiss was shown. I care how and why it was shown.

If your problem is that kids shouldn't be watching it, then it doesn't matter what round he was drafted in when they showed the guys kissing.

Its not though. Your problem is that you think guys kissing is icky.

So weird that we can tell that Joe Biden and Harry Reid aren't hateful bigots but you are, super hard read as always

The same thing I'd say to anyone whining about something non-offensive on TV that they just happen to find offensive, something along the lines of 'nobody gives a ****'

Using your logic, you can change this to:

Believe it our not though, there are actually parents out there who are repulsed by watching a a black man kissing a white woman and don't want their 8th grader seeing it either.

Go back a bit through history and it's exactly the same. Nobody care if a bunch of bigots have their #feelings hurt by something that non-bigots don't find offensive. It isn't illegal to show it, so ESPN will show it whenever the **** like. If you're offended, don't watch. If you don't want your kid seeing that, then stop them watching the channel. This is your right, just as it is ESPN's right to show two men kissing.

We've moved into the "I don't care" round of this program, in which Silverman loudly announces over and over that he just does not care one bit about the thing he's been whining about.
