It's all the same kind of mentality that shamed any sex that wasn't missionary position until the man is done. Shame is shame. None of your business is none of your business.

I have roleplayed probably millions of acts of violence, destroyed entire universes and saved a few all while sitting around with friends roleplaying. It's not sex, but it is the same thing as roleplay sex. Sex. It's not deviant, criminal or immoral. It is creative, dark and personal.

I don't judge sex fetishists, but I have good reason that aren't religious-like to judge sex shamers. From my perspective sex shaming helps create the problem that good intentioned shamer people seek to solve.

All those bad criminal things earlier in the thread that were automatically lumped with clearly marked simulated porn are the result of generations of shame-filled human sexual dysfunction. Thanks to sexual fetishes we can work this out organically, personally. We know better now, education-wise. Even better, we are free-er than ever to choose whatever manner of shame-free mutual sexual experience for ourselves. This is also personal relationship freedom. Unless some shaming control freak gets into political power or a whole bunch of them.

Fascinating if you think about how her words, almost verbatim, have been / are used to shame homosexuals, the trans community, interracial couples, etc.
Ikes already tried to use this argument. Lol dib, lol Ikes.

You're a psychologist, right? Where do you think people get the desire to be humiliated sexually, or hog tied, or etc? If a woman has rape fantasies, or can only get off from rape play... Is she born with it? Does it magically appear one day? Or are there outside forces that influence our sexual desires? Or is there a third option? I fully admit that I lack a good deal of knowledge in this area (and fwiw is my views related to this and porn are new and evolving as I read and learn more). So I truly do welcome your knowledge and input.

You must have exhaustively studied BDSM to come to this conclusion, unlike all those a**holes who believe homosexuality is not something "created in a vacuum," or who believe interracial marriage is unnatural and the product of trauma or something. Amirite Giz? Not you.

So what's your theory? Educate us. Profess about how masochistic tendencies are undeniably and irrefutably linked to...IDK...childhood abuse? Complex trauma? Brain injury? I can't wait.

Whatever you do, don't triumphantly produce a study or two showing weak correlation or something; gotta do better than that with such a cock sure approach to the topic.

If you lack knowledge on it why the **** do you have such a strident opinion?

BTW, people make those exact same arguments against gay people.... hell, even of some of them are probably true for gay people, and I doubt they are false for people into various kinks. The problem is that if people are happy... why the **** do you care?

I learned everything* I know from one work of fiction by Robert Heinlein and thoughts by Carl Jung.

*not actually everything. This post is a true joke.

Precise sexual freedom is a cornerstone of precise reproduction freedom.

It's a kick in the cognitive dissonance gut to some people.

Too bad. I'm thinking if the family reunions were based on "Time Enough For Love" you have more fun at yours than I do at mine.

Stranger in a Strangeland is strangely more down to earth about individual sexuality and has a scene of sexual empathy, which is a important sexual concept to some individuals.

What in anything have I said can be construed as "cock sure"? Was it me stating "it's my opinion"?

The only thing I'm really positive of is that there are a few fetishes that pretty much everyone can agree on should be stigmatized. Bestiality and pedophilia. And if you disagree with that, you're a terrible person.

Some credit "Stranger" with helping the sexual revolution along. And he credits that with the publishers having no problem with the length or the incest in "Time"

I like Heinlein enough that I have Time, Methuselah's Children, The Past Through Tomorrow, and Grumbles From The Grave in Hardback.

Stranger and The Cat Who Walks Through Walls are the next 2 on my list.

Cock sure.

Also, FWIW, your desire to shame pedophiles is precisely what makes pedophiles feel wary of seeking professional help or disclosing that they feel attracted to children. So good job; your crusade to shame those "sick f***s" is motivating them to stay in the dark and out of therapy.

How does it feel to be part of the problem?

I'm feeling especially kinky tonight, baby. No telling what unspeakable perversions might occur.

Well dib, someone's opinion of your sick fetish shouldn't stop you from seeking help. Please please find someone to talk to before you touch a little kid

Next to Stranger my favorite Heinlein is The Moon is a Harsh Mistress.

I'm not a pedophile, but thanks for your super fun assumption and obviously genuine concern. You're the best.

But seriously, let it sink in. Your crusade to shame pedophiles is not uncommon and absolutely contributes to these people feeling (shockingly!) shameful. Most all will opt to white-knuckle it and not seek professional help to manage their feelings and will have zero in the form of support. Innocent kids get molested because certain pedophiles have acted on their attraction who may have otherwise not done so.

But it's cool, they're just sick f***ers who deserve the wrath of Giz, amirite? Shame them all, and make sure they never feel safe to show their f***ing faces. Not on Giz's watch, she's on a mission.
06-29-2014 , 01:21 AM
Calling the dude a pedophile is pretty ****ing low, that's for sure.
06-29-2014 , 01:39 AM
Yeah trolling someone back is über terrible, you're right.

Sigh. I don't have the heart to talk about this anymore. Enjoy talking about it (and me!) without me. I shouldn't have said anything, and I won't about this again.

Booker readers only....
Spoiler:

I think Heinlein used cannibalism in Stranger specifically as a device to give other expansive ideas of human relationships and rituals better proportion. At the end of the book having the variety of five lovers, one wife, three room-mates, or an orgy was rather small compared to eating your friend's body after they die.
