If you watch MSNBC, which I personally do, every political issue is turned into a race issue. Ed Shultz, Rev Al Sharpton, Chris Mathews, Rachel Maddow and especially Toure, turn every topic into a race issue. Doesn't matter if the issue is best flavor of ice cream, they still try and find a race angle on everything. If someone disagrees with the president or a piece of his legislation - he/she is labeled a racist. That's just plain wrong.

No it doesn't. Make the ID free of charge.

Internet rule number 2080: Posters who use the term "intellectual dishonesty" are possibly projecting.

Phew...that was close. Because I used the phrase "Intellectually Dishonest", so I'm ok.

Nah, I'm just myldli dyslexic.

Cerveza, do you have any desire to actually learn something? Because there are quite a few of us ITF who can explain exactly how voter ID in practice, in the US, has very clear racial motivations and effects.

But, of course, you'd have to WANT to learn something. If you'd rather parade your ignorance all over the thread people are just going to call you bad names instead.

Dude, I live in Miami, the voter fraud capital of the US. Don't tell me I'm ignorant when it comes to anything, especially voter fraud. We have dead people that vote, multiple times. Not just in national elections that make the headlines, but in local elections.

If everyone has to show ID, regardless of race, then it is equally applied, and therefore not racist. Period. Liberals like to throw the race card out every time they can't argue a point on the merits.
04-02-2014 , 12:25 PM
Yeah, that's what I thought. You don't want to learn. You are happy being an ignorant moron with strong opinions based on bigotry.
04-02-2014 , 12:28 PM
That's what makes voter ID worse than racist. People accidently support them out the imagined fears of fraud propagated by the politicians who benefit from voter disenfranchisement. I bet there is no limit to the amount of voter fraud Cerveza69 can imagine.

Cerveza69, are you sure you are not accidentally racist, sexist, ageist, classist, and disablist?

It's obvious from using the word 'liberal' as a smear that having partisan prejudice is on purpose. Did you learn that trick listening to talk radio?

Is there an example of Miami voter fraud that would be solved by voter ID that you could produce? Because googling shows Miami voter fraud incidents, but none that could be solved by voter ID.

Don't confuse him, Gambool. That level of thinking is way outside his range.

But you are ignorant. Probably about a lot more than this, but definitely about this.

LOL what a wonderful fantasy to tell yourself. Yeah, that's why they call you racist. Definitely.

Yeah, which state has done this? Oh, none of them? Because of how voter ID laws are designed to erect barriers to voting?

That's what I ****ing thought.

So a price on IDs is racist? No it isn't. Everyone pays the same fee. If different fees were charged based on race, then it would be racist.

Georgia. You can get a free id for voting by going to the dmv and provide a proof of address/birth certificate . It expires like maybe 2 months after it is issued iirc

Yeah dude, advocate for a poll tax. That's totally not racist at all.

I bet you claim to be a big defender of the constitution too, right?
