The tragic death of the Democratic party The tragic death of the Democratic party

"I swear guys, the Dems hate the poor and downtrodden just as much as the Republicans. Never mind that the Democrats pass laws that INCIDENTALLY help poor people and the Republicans pass laws that **** them over, they truly both hate the poor equally."

It is YOUR opinion that they are doing good things for them. And in the short-run certain things may be good things for them, but in the long term it benefits the powerful and does not benefit the poor. It fascinates me to no end that a thoughtful person like yourself can't grasp this....like these aholes are volunteering at homeless shelters one day a month or something.

And in your mind the "good things" they do for them are at other people's expense. So at the end of the day you are still forcing people to cough up their own hard earned money to give to whoever (while it gets laundered through the corrupt government) so it is still MORALLY WRONG.

Ah yes, the great moral wrong of our time: having a civilized society.

I know, right? Who are these people that think they can decide what's good for them for themselves? That's what white people are for!

When his thread didn't go as swimmingly, I locked it two days later rather than letting people post mindless blather in it, as traffic had died down in it and Lirva himself hadn't even bothered to respond to anyone in the thread except for the second reply. But, I guess I'm a fascist, he has to have HIS thread on the subject, and here we are.
Lol, the Michael Hastings thing is another great example. Instead of just participating in the ongoing thread Lirva wants to start his own no content thread. Awesome.

No they are not volunteering at homeless shelters, but they are passing legislation, providing funding and supporting departments for affordable housing and SNAP so the homeless are no longer homeless and dont have to rely on the soup line.

It is not morally wrong to tax those with the most to provide for those with the least.

I was wondering why? I guess he was thinking it was basically the same thing as the Republican party thread.

The democratic party is a joke the first thing they do is tax the poor investments at 35%. Then they allow a loophole for their private equity doners to send debt interest offshore to avoid this tax. Then they tax the dividends, yet the poor in New Zealand and Singapore do not have to pay that tax nor the capital gains tax. Almost all capital gains on stocks are inflation, since the Sp500 has not beat gold since it was created in 1957.

What does the democratic party want?

1. They want to increase the transaction taxes.
2. They lie about lowering the corporate income tax from 35% to 28% so poor investors have to pay more.
3. Almost all want more capital gains taxes, they did in California for state corporate income taxes.
4. They delayed equity crowdfunding because the people will see all the taxes taken out by investments.
5. They say corporations are sitting on cash, yet they are sitting on 10x more debt.
6. They say GE and corporations pay no tax. Yet you pay no tax when you lose money in a collapse. Yet they fail to realize, the government makes far more taxes on stocks than is paid in dividends.

In summary end the income tax. Make democrats work for one time in their lives. end all education spending espeically k-12. They even lie about that they saying kids that enter preschool score 40% better on tests in the future.

Give me a break, bro. All that heartwarming legislation to help the poor or whatever is a front to continually launder money through our corrupt government. If I donate to a homeless shelter, a food bank, the red cross or whatever I know MOST if not all of that money is going to that cause. Money being confiscated to subsidize whoever for whatever reason just gets frauded up, absused, stolen, or to support some incompetents salary. I'm sure some trickles to whoever it was intended for after it has been sliced up to feed the idiots in bureaucracy.

And it is morally wrong to confiscate from those with most to give to those with the least. And it isn't even people with the most, it is regular people working who are struggling also. Who the **** are THEY to take and give??? Especially those elitist *******s??? It's like some people think other people are here and exist to provide for random people. **** that.

No they're not. The two parties are going to continue to get elected, and are going to continue to ruin the entire world.

Absolutely not! If you feel so deeply about a cause whether it's global warming, abortion, paying for the downtrodden's healthcare etc etc...and you want to pay more for those types of things via the gubment because you care about them go right ahead be my guest!

If your GF wants an abortion in the 7th month of pregnancy and you don't have a car to take her... PM me with your address, I'll be more than happy to give you guys a lift to a Planned Parenthood. Just don't expect me to put one penny towards it. Get it? Have your friends who care about the cause to pony up for it.

Really, last time I looked poverty rates hadn't changed much in like 50 years and that was pre Great Society laws. IIRC poverty rates dropped in the late 50s, early 60s.

If people got to decide where their tax money went all those Republican welfare states in the south would be super screwed. Just worth noting.
