He kinda is, as I elaborated above. But hey, you want to tie yourself to the Donald, don't let me stop you. Like you think changing from "Mexicans are rapists" to " Mexican immigrants to America are rapists" is, like, much better or something?

I'm not tying myself to trump. I'm just stating the fact that if you call him racist because of the tweet that says a lot about you.

Yeah I checked. I don't care what some random thinks he said. I speak English and it is very clear what he said.

Well, no, but not understanding why it's racist says a lot about you though.

Similar vein...most people fooled by chain letters about illegal immigrants living a life of luxury in the U.S. are pretty giant racists. Like if you are predisposed to fall prey to obvious bull**** stats and comments that make a minority group look bad, yeah, you are probably a racist. Not a hard concept to understand if your IQ is over bahbahmickey level.

You really think there was nothing wrong with his immigrants be rapists speech? That's just ****ed up.

Yet another lol bahbah

Just to be clear so you don't back away later in the backlash...if he was just saying Mexican immigrants are scumbags and racists then its cool? Because that's what you claimed he said and was vilified by the liberal media for.

So wierd that he's a well known racist in this forum.

But we are probably just picking on him and he's not a racist /chezlaw

So you're disputing the quote? Just to be clear, you're saying that you think "they're rapists" is a misquote and the correct quote is "their rapists"? And that the distinction between the two is "very clear"? What's your explanation for why Trump didn't offer this defense at the time?

By the way, even your extremely generous interpretation of his meaning ("the Mexicans that are coming over are the worst of what Mexico has to offer (drug dealers and rapists)") is stupid, offensive, and wrong.

It is like Germany tourist center telling German citizens going to New York City to not go down dark allies because they're are rapists and murders there. They are saying the quality of people in NYC allies aren't as good as you'd fine on Main Street of some small town.

I have no idea if it is actually true that the quality of people coming to the us from Mexico is actually worse than an average Mexican, but that isn't the point. The point is that saying it is racist makes no sense. He is saying one group of one race is worse than average of that same race.

Thanks for asking.

Pointing out your obsessive nuttiness about is nothing to do with anybody else LG. I hope that's clear.

edit: btw I wasn't going to mock you as bahbah asked you but lol for being so obsessively nutty you brought me into it.

Looooooool bahbah. Yes that quote is obviously racist.

Chez what do you think of trumps quote racist or not?
11-27-2015 , 09:19 AM
I can't tell if anyone besides duker understands the point bahbah's making. It's making this difficult to follow.
11-27-2015 , 09:29 AM
Bahbahs point is dumb and the statement is racist either way.
11-27-2015 , 09:31 AM
Saying they're sending over criminals and rapists may be dumb and misinformed but I don't understand how it's racist.
11-27-2015 , 09:35 AM
If you don't think trump made that statement to fire up the racists in the republican base or that generalizing Mexican immigrants as rapists isn't racist, not sure what to tell you
11-27-2015 , 09:45 AM
I don't have any idea.
11-27-2015 , 09:48 AM
It's okay because he qualified it by saying he assumes some are good people.

Obviously he can't be sure about that because they're Mexican, but he's got the good grace to assume they're hiding somewhere.

A white person that wears baggy jeans and a huge hoody is more likely to commit a crime than a white person in khakis and a button down shirt.

A Mexican that plays violent video games is more likely to commit a crime than a Mexican that plays Mario kart.

An Asian person that listens to loud music is more likely to commit a crime than an Asian person that listen to music at a reasonable level.

A black person that has a face tattoo is more likely to commit a crime than a person with no tattoo.

LoolGamlool, are all of these racist too?

You are not so far form a racist here as you think.

More a bigot against the lower class and using those jobs a dig. But yeah.
11-27-2015 , 02:09 PM
if you're just going to completely ignore the cultural and historical context in which things are said and done, I guess you'll end up with a pretty high bar for what's objectionable.

What an incredible world you're living in, where "they're rapists" is fine, but calling Trump a racist is unacceptable vilification.

Willie Horton ad from 1988:
a) racist as ****
b) can't possibly be racist since it's about just one guy, and they don't even mention he's black!

If they aren't racist how is what trump said racist? They are the same exact thing except in my examples I sat you down like a young child and explained what the adults were talking about.

It's a caddyshack quote but you are right I shouldn't use it. Apologies to those offended and thank you for making me aware
