A racism thread A racism thread

Gotta mention that a shop for the ultra rich in Switzerland declined to show Oprah a $38k purse. Left it inside the security glass and volunteered something else to look at.

2.5 billionaire can't escape her skin.

Swiss is prolly the most racist country in Europe so no surprise that something like that would happen there

Oh Oprah needs to pretty woman them and make a special about it on OWN!
LOL at telling Oprah it's too much money for her.

I don't understand the Oprah incident. Even if they thought she would grab the purse and run it isn't like she would get very far. She weighs like 300 pounds.

That's kinda the point. Do you not get how racism works?
08-09-2013 , 10:40 PM
How is Rasario Dawson not in this thread yet?

Spoiler:

I'd like to spew my latent racist tendencies all over that.

Trance was kinda meh tho.

This is not racism, I bet they would have not let me as well touch such a purse if I wanted to evaluate making that a gift to a woman and I am white. However I guess it is more sensationalist to say that she was not let see the purse because of the skin color, rather than because she didn't look from the way she was dressed as someone who could afford to spend that amount of money on a purse.

I imagine that Oprah's version of the event that allegedly transpired is largely fiction. I'm going to go out on a limb here and guess that Oprah's pretentious attitude clouded her judgement and now she's unable to see what REALLY happened with an objective frame of mind. Oprah slams open the shop doors and demands to see the 38k purse when it is clear that there is somebody already waiting in front of her in the Que. The lady behind the counter asks Oprah to "politely wait a minute whilst we deal with another customer", Oprah flies into a fit of rage "don't you know who I am!", the lady behind the counter has had enough and asks Oprah to please leave the store. Oprah obliges but not before threatening to the store worker that the media will get hold of this story and 'Oprah Winfrey' will not be responsible for how they will portray the event.

It's not called "a racism thread" for nothing

I'm so perplexed at the concept of paying 38k for a purse that I can't even process the racism aspects of this incident.

From the country that brought you this:

Comes 'rich black people are still ******'

Bravo Switzerland. Anyway, Trance was not meh, that's racist.

Mighty sure of yourself for not offering a bit of evidence. This sort of denial I can't fathom. The given explanation was that it was too expensive.

Black America: we get snubbed over race.

Mercury: no you don't.

Like you know.

There are a lot of good lol oprah comments that could be made, but instead of making one you just assume she's a clueless bitch. She's made a few billion not being a clueless bitch, so I have to assume the employee may have been at fault. The ****ing swiss government apologized to her. Why the Oprah hate? Have a thing against strong black women?

A joke people...a joke. I don't have an opinion on Oprah, but I don't really feel the need to justify myself to a couple of people that don't understand my humour

"Yeah yeah, it's only a joke when you get called out on it, RACIST!"

Nice one.

Unfortunately though that guy is not balanced or fair or objective. He's speculating about some convoluted account (that makes sense in his head) and argument to cover/deny a simple and rudimentary fact about himself.
Definitely. The funny thing is Oprah is literally the person in the world who is most famous for not being like he describes. I mean mother Theresa is dead and was a bitch, so there's Oprah and a few others. Pretty sure it was shifty eyed Sarah McLaughlin running the dog fighting ring.

Always go after your opponent s strengths I guess. And I don't give a **** about Oprah, but I'd bet my last nickle she's a decent human being.

Ok, well if it makes you feel any better, of course I know the Oprah situation was obviously racist. I'm sorry if you didnt find my joke funny, but then again, I'm not. Relax a little.
