This would be actually kind of an interesting thread idea if it was stipulated that people had to be sincere, even if they had to rack their brains a little. As it is, it's no surprise that most of the comments are sarcastic "accomplishments" that are no different from any other random "GOP does X" thread.

Both parties suck.

Conservatism brought us the military industrial complex.

Liberalism brought us Detroit (and more likely to follow).

In fact the non stop WWE style political bickering "my party is better than yours" is whats kept this country in total deadlock and disdain for years. Its like two kids arguing over who's turn it is to take out the trash, they can't come to an agreement, so it just piles up in the kitchen.

But the mainstream Fox News Vs MSNBC propaganda parade loves to keep the ball rolling of course.

The first part of your sentence is arguable , but Obama hasn't been liberal since he was candidate Obama, even by American standards. In fact, I'm going to bet there were candidates in the Republican primaries in 08 who might have been more liberal than Obama in office.

I'm not implying that whatsoever. Of course they are corporate whores as well. But they aren't as bonerized by deregulation as are cons, that much is clear.
