No, i was not trolling him. I was asking if he was serious, by giving him a chance to expand on it. My first instinct was that he was just being facetious. But then, as i said, i don't know much about him.

I offered my opinion on it publicly in the spirit of this thread, but honestly I don't have a strong opinion on what should happen. If chez or whosnext want to do anything more I have no objections. I realize they may be annoyed because, by giving my opinion here, I seem to be speaking for them. Which I'm not. But I like moderation to be mostly transparent.

Sandy Hook conspiracy theories are very much still off-limits. I could edit the post, in which case you would still all know what was said, and all the other references to it would still exist. Or we could delete this whole exchange, but I feel like some of you would suggest we were trying to white-wash what happened in order to gaslight you later. I'd rather my modding missteps remained public (if this is one) so you have a record to impeach me with later.

One of the main problems with trying to eliminate conspiracy theories is the fact that some of them turn out to be real. The govt has really done a number on people from time to time and we're right to be suspicious of things.
