As far as me being worthless, you could possibly be correct there, too. I can only look at the evidence...
What does the evidence suggest the oath keepers might have been doing there?

Oath Keepers is a far-right,[1][2] anti-government[3][4][5][6][7][a] American organization associated with the patriot movement and militia movement.[8][9] The group describes itself as a non-partisan association of current and formerly serving military, police, and first responders, who pledge to fulfill the oath all military and police take to "defend the Constitution against all enemies, foreign and domestic."[10] It encourages members – some of whom are current and former U.S. military and law enforcement officers – not to obey orders which they believe would violate the United States Constitution. The organization claims a membership of up to 30,000.[11][dubious – discuss]
Several groups that monitor domestic terrorism and hate groups describe the Oath Keepers as extremist or radical. Mark Pitcavage of the Anti-Defamation League (ADL) describes the group as "heavily armed extremists with a conspiratorial and anti-government mindset looking for potential showdowns with the government."[12][13] The Southern Poverty Law Center (SPLC) lists the group's founder as a known extremist and describes his announced plans to create localized militia units as "frightening". [14] According to the SPLC, the group espouses a number of conspiracy and legal theories associated with the sovereign citizen movement and the white supremacist posse comitatus movement.[15][16][17] SPLC senior fellow Mark Potok describes the group as a whole as "really just an anti-government group who believe in a wild set of conspiracy theories."[14]

Also, there were several right wing groups with assault rifles and military gear. Not just the oath keepers. These guys aren't oath keepers.
So where's the leftists with assault rifles and military gear, wil? And remember, you're a pretty reflective person and try your best to rethink your positions. If there is anything you've learned in your life its to not believe you can't be wrong. You freely admit you may possibly be wrong on many, if not all, of these topics. You don't believe you are, and you're reinforced by admitting you used to be on the other side of it.
