Look, I have made a point of not responding to any more of your nonsense, but that's an absurd statement to make.

You are a ****ing idiot.

If they are legally allowed to have a rally, then it's their choice to have it or not.

Whether I think they should or not is irrelevant.

No it's relevant bro. We already know your answer just be man enough to say it yourself.

Post after post about how the anti-Nazis are unwise, but the Nazis? "Whether I think they should or not is irrelevant".

It's literally people marching with Confederate and Nazi flags vs. people who oppose that. If you can't publicly pick a side then it's really clear which side you take privately.

That goes doubly for Trump.

When I ask you what you think about something, what you think about that something is not irrelevant.

I'm legally allowed to walk down the sidewalk displaying a Nazi flag, that doesn't mean I should do it. I'd be a massive ****ing **** if I did.

Actually you know, I'd love to hear your explanation of what the statue of Robert E. Lee represents, as well as whether you think the United States is well past the Civil War, or if it has had any sort of lasting effects, and if so what they might be.

Thrill me with your acumen.
08-13-2017 , 10:06 PM
So you are arguing the new nazis aren't legally allowed to have a rally?

Well, legally one group was legally allowed to be there and the other wasn't.

If you feel we need to change the constitution to prohibit free speech (e.g. Like Germany) that is a different issue.
08-13-2017 , 10:11 PM
Are you asking me?

As I understand it, it was initially a legal gathering, but was declared an unlawful assembly.

Neo-Nazis have the same first amendment rights to free speech and assembly that everyone else does. Just because Neo-Nazis have a legal right to hold a rally, doesn't mean they should. Do you know why? Because they're ****ing Neo-Nazis and they're disgusting pieces of ****.

Who knows? Maybe it is time to rethink the first Amendment. Maybe it would be for the best if groups like neo nazis and nambla weren't allowed to express themselves. The trick (and danger) is in determining who gets to decide who is allowed to speak and who isn't.
08-13-2017 , 10:17 PM
No, the US has become authoritarian enough. The 1st amendment is probably our most important civil liberty.

I agree.

It's pretty simple. Hate groups aren't allowed! The only reason this would be difficult to implement would be due to challenges from the left. Hate groups, criminals, terrorsts love the left because they make it so easy to do business.

If you folks would learn to act like reasonable people there wouldn't be the need for so much authority. Take a step back and ask yourself what have you done to create this environment?

The first amendment needs some major updating.

Shocking news that mongidig, a totally serious an honorable poster by the way, wants to amend the US constitution's 1st amendment. Definitely a serious suggestion and not a ploy to bolster his defense of Nazi/KKK terrorists.

you folks?

It is better to be thought a fool than to speak and remove all doubt. There is an entire body of law "updating" the first amendment. Please just stop posting as an act of self censor and leave the great document alone.

The discussion is silly. David Duke and his crew are *******s but they have rights. I don't like farkkhan or the black Panthers but they are absolutely fine gathering and marching.

The leftists went there LOOKING for a fight. They were armed with baseball bats and were throwing things. Let's not pretend they were acting like the westboro baptist church, who are absolutely despicable but are in no ways violent.

The violence was dictated by the actions of the leftists, outside of the car attack.

You've already been called out on this bs and didn't respond, wil.

They are oathkeepers. Do you know who they are and why they were there?

They were at Ferguson too. They are there to brake check the cops.
08-13-2017 , 11:05 PM
They look like an armed militia loaded with assault rifles, and body armor, looking for a fight.

Here's some more.
