The unlawful assembly was declared in Emancipation Park, around the Lee statue, so police could clear the area. Some of the fascists then moved to another park two miles away to hear their speakers. When Richard Spencer mentioned the name of the mayor, the fascists started chanting 'Jew! Jew! Jew!'
Some of the fascists were visibly injured, but they themselves had been seen attacking others with sprays and sticks or beating them with shields.
