95% of STEM scientist did not agree with that at all. Pretty much everyone agrees the world is going through a warming phase. That is not a question. The question is what impact does carbon have on it and what should we do about it.

If we turned off every power plant on the planet right now, would that be a net negative or a net positive on human beings? We obviously know that answer, it's a catastrophic negative. We also can't limit other countries like India from their energy needs, as their countries can only grow as much as their ability to provide that energy.

So no, I don't agree with you at all that global warming is a "very bad thing". It happens, it has happened in the past, and will happen again in the future. We must decide whether curbing carbon emissions will help that and if it's worth the tradeoff. We are no where in the same universe in agreement of this.

I couldn't stand the people in Comp Sci. That being said, I can't stand the people in Finance, either.
