There's definitely infighting in all factions of politics but the right wingers don't try and totally destroy your lives if you disagree (the extreme right wingers do if they have power though). I definitely think free speech is held more highly in right wing circles than left wing ones. But that's just my opinion from what I see.

I actually think the weight of response is totally dependent on the power your group holds. If you're on the defensive and retreating like the conservative right has been for 75 years, then you are less likely to oust someone for disagreeing. If you hold the power over most of the media, almost all the institutions of higher learning, and you have a very simple uniform ideology like the left currently does then you could technically totally obliterate someone if they disagree. Both sides of the political spectrum have done this in the latter situation.

But yes, DoOrDoNot, that's another ****ing thing the GOP has tried. The most notable example was called SB 1070 in Arizona, allowing cops to check people's immigration status on demand. It was a huge ****ing story for like a year. Other states have either passed their own versions or tried to.
