Why give your adversaries a chance to latch on to an argument they might be able to prove wrong and thus divert from the main point?

Do you see how the media brainwashes people into thinking Trump is worse than he is?

How come nobody protested under Obama?

This along with the fact that the Obama administration deported more people than the Bush and Clinton administration combined. Obama caught a lot of flack for it too. Obama Deported More People Than Any President in History
Quote:
How many people have been deported under Obama?

President Barack Obama has often been referred to by immigration groups as the "Deporter in Chief."
Between 2009 and 2015 his administration has removed more than 2.5 million people through immigration orders, which doesn’t include the number of people who "self-deported" or were turned away and/or returned to their home country at the border by U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP).

How does he compare to other presidents?

According to governmental data, the Obama administration has deported more people than any other president's administration in history.
In fact, they have deported more than the sum of all the presidents of the 20th century.

That's easy to understand. It's because these people think everything is about race.

Exchanging legal tender for some casino chips...damn that is truly some shady stuff.
See, these guys can always understand step 1. It's step 2 that gets them every time.

Step 2 - That cash is supposed to stay in the casino (or at least it must remain liquid)

The reserve shall not be less than the sum of the following:
(1) The present value of the aggregate remaining balances owed on all prizes awarded to patrons who are receiving periodic payments. For balances previously funded using U.S. Treasury securities, the discount rate on the date of funding shall be used for calculating the present value of the reserve.
(2) An amount sufficient to pay the single cash payments offered in conjunction with qualified prize options for prizes previously awarded for which elections have not been made by the patrons;
(3) An amount sufficient to fully fund the present value of all prizes currently on public display for which periodic payments are offered;
(4) If cash is used as the approved funding source, an amount equal to satisfy the current liabilities to all patrons receiving periodic payments due and payable within 12 months; and
(5) Any additional amounts administratively required by the chairman.

What does all that legal mumbo-jumbo mean? It basically says that the casino must keep in reserve, not only every chip in play on the floor, but the total amount advertised on all slot machines and all the payments that the casino owes to previous winners.

So yeah, using that money to make an interest payment = ILLEGAL

Mmm. I'll bet. any particular reason he hasn't spent a second yet on jobs, the economy, the tax structure, etc - obviously the most important things - but finds plenty of time to insult Meryl Streep and Mark Cuban on Twitter, go golfing, rant about Nordstrom, and try and ban people from countries which interestingly enough haven't been involved in terror attacks against this one?

He and his administration have proven to be quite adept at touting every single "accomplishment" of his thusfar, with nary a mention of any of these things.

Show me anything he's done so far for the middle-class, working white red state male he promised so much to. I'll shut up immediately.

For how long?

http://www.reuters.com/article/us-us...-idUSKBN15820N

It appears these jobs will be in North Dakota.

From the article, "Trump said on Tuesday in Washington that Keystone XL would create 28,000 jobs, but that figure is at odds with a 2014 U.S. State Department environmental study that said the project would create 3,900 construction jobs and 35 permanent jobs."

Are we counting just construction jobs, or what about where the steel comes from? What other related jobs might Reuters be ignoring? I dunno.

Re: President Trump

NYT report on the internal workings of the National Security Council shows the difficulty in advising Trump:

Quote:
And while Mr. Obama liked policy option papers that were three to six single-spaced pages, council staff members are now being told to keep papers to a single page, with lots of graphics and maps.

“The president likes maps,” one official said.
Like teaching policy to a kindergartener.

The bureaucracy is not functioning well:

Quote:
Officials said that the absence of an orderly flow of council documents, ultimately the responsibility of Mr. Flynn, explained why Mr. Mattis and Mike Pompeo, the director of the C.I.A., never saw a number of Mr. Trump’s executive orders before they were issued. One order had to be amended after it was made public, to reassure Mr. Pompeo that he had a regular seat on the council.
And, well, this:

Quote:
At the all-hands meeting, Mr. Flynn talked about the importance of a balanced work life, taking care of family, and using the time at the council to gain experience that would help staff members in other parts of the government. At one point, the crowd was asked for a show of hands of how many expected to be working at the White House in a year.

Mr. Flynn turned to Ms. McFarland and, in what seemed to be a self-deprecating joke, said, “I wonder if we’ll be here a year from now?”

well, I think that is his reason.

but regardless, you are correct. it detracts from the main point that human beings do not deserve to be treated the way he desires. and it really doesnt matter why he wants to inflict such pain, the fact that he gleefully cheers such things is reason enough to be against him.

This is a new phenomenon that I'd never seen before I started posting here.

People just flatly accusing you of not voting the way you did or even of lying about your profession.

It's one of the oddest things I've ever seen, and like, it's common. Weird people.

Hard for me to address this since he gives one figure and the study gives one that's 1/7th as much. Regardless, would be nice if he spends more time on this instead of the worthless nonsense he's been involved in so far.
