When they are weak, they work together (because the Stalinist-Berias know they need to). Actually, Corbyn, McDonnell, Milne and their clique are Stalinists. But you're correct that they don't advertise it all that much. (Though Milne has notoriously written articles excusing Stalin's crimes.)

You know what really stuck in Orwell's craw? The English Empire. Even in 1984, the story here supposedly just about socialism or totalitarianism or whatever, there was a big swath of the world including especially India where everyone was basically enslaved by whichever of the world powers occupied it at the moment.

No, it's about you trying to score points by bringing Ireland into it when it's clearly about whether Corbyn/Milne/McDonnell are centre left, Trotskyists, Stalinists or Maoists (I believe that Corbyn is probably the most moderate of the three).
