That all sucked. The Patriot Act was what stepped it all up. Pretty much no one gives up power. It wasn't just that it was Bush who pushed the Patriot Act, but that **** was produced by the Republican machine (ALEC/Heritage/Mannhattan Institute/etc) and was queued up and ready. Are you sure that Hillary would have been better than Trump? What if Hillary was an epic disaster in another area, say foreign policy? And that somehow triggered nuclear war or something.

That's a simplistic. She's was aligning with the democrats most of her time, but the parties shifted as did she. Her most recent positions were that of a moderate 80's republican, before the party went full reagan and gingrich.

Foreign policy disasters are mostly done by amateurs like trump. Hillary is anything but that.

Yes. The only trigger for a nuclear war would really be an accident or something like the US doing a first strike on NK and Hillary wouldn't do that, but who knows with Trump.

Trump could have been better as a non-interventionist than Hillary if you believed anything he said in the campaign. That would have been dumb and gullible though. As it turns out he's married to Saudi Arabia and getting US troops involved in killing people in Yemen, another country where we'll probably still be in 15 years. Hillary would do no worse.

Ok, well, Hillary might do worse in a few ways in Syria where Trump is almost certainly completely unaware of what's happening, but the US military on it's own is making some good decisions imo.

She argued for a no fly zone before Russia was deployed in the region. The GOP blocked obama from doing anything in Syria. Then after putin hosted Assad in Moscow and decided to "help", they disingenuously claimed that Hillary would spark war.
