Trump isn't like other presidents, yo. Better gird your loins if that's bothersome to you somehow. This is different.

Regarding #3, Spicer claims he was misinterpreted and never claimed the in-person crowd was the largest ever. It's hard to believe him, given that at the time he made those claims, he cited completely incorrect ridership numbers (he said more people rode the DC metro for Trump's inauguration than for Obama's; that is not true) to support the in-person claim. Why would he have done so if he was apparently never trying to suggest that Trump's crowd was the largest?

(if you want to say that the above also answers #1, then #1 could just as easily apply to Trump making the outlandish claim that 1.5 million people were at the inauguration earlier in the day - what would you, and kioshk, prefer the media to do with that, since the answer appears to be something besides "report on it"?)

What brings the whole thing to untold levels of derp is that I'm convinced it started behind them not understanding how visual perspective works.

The picture Spicier hauled up to stage, and the CNN gigapixel, are showing essentially the same thing as the WAmonument bird's eye. They just didn't know what they're looking at.

Hahaha you were just complaining one page ago about how totally unfair it is for liberals to pull mean tricks like "pointing out when the Trump administration is lying", don't think you get to play the butthurt card here buddy.

Anyway, pretty disappointed with chezland over here. With this being where all the Trump slappies hang out I was sure someone would take a stab at defending some of this stuff but nope, it's all deflection and a refusal to discuss anything Trump does wrong.

For all Inso0's faults, at least he can own up to a mistake:

Like, holy ****, man. You won, we know. Nobody gives a **** about how many people did or did not attend your ceremony. **** the haters and go do something productive, please.

Sorry, my bad.

Seems like Trump cares about it more than anyone.
And being someone driven by populist politics (i.e. what the media is reporting) we are going to see more of these kinds of issues carry momentum when such momentum and coverage should have ended ages ago to discuss more important issues. In one way it is good that his other more questionable policies go unchallenged because of this but it could be worse for him that if you think the crowds' issue for his inauguration generated this much publicity wait until he starts going about tearing down Obama's legacy..

What bothers me is having an idiot for a President who so far lies about just about everything he does.

The leftos are desperate to think Trump is insane or Trump is a fascist etc. Trump is just a little eccentric and a non-politician. Imagine this: Trump really does want the best for this country and ends up doing his best, given all the constraints, to look out for our interests and to do what he said he'd do during the campaign.

That's not quite as sexy a storyline as him being a sociopath or being in league with Putin or something, but I bet it's more likely to be closer to the truth.

No one doubts his patriotism or that he wants to make America better. That doesn't excuse his constant lies. Constant, stupid, obvious lies.
01-24-2017 , 04:32 PM
What really riles up the leftos is that Trump is vulgar in their eyes, déclassé. And that is completely unforgivable for a certain type, a type that's way too plentiful these days.

I do. I think he's a self-serving piece of ****.

Rich people do not care about their country. They aren't that stupid. They do recognize "patriotism" is an effective control mechanism.

The ruling class define themselves by class division, but they encourage the masses to define themselves by nationhood. But it is a certain type of "patriotism" mostly involving the killing of other races and nations. You are a patriot if you want to kill arabs. However, if you are concerned about the tens of thousands dieing from guns or lack of afforable health care this is not "patriotism".

You only have to hang around these people for a short while to work out what the truth is. I am virtually certain that Trump would be extremly insulting about the working classes that voted for him in private-it is a universal characteristic of this type of person. They are fundamentally useless people-they have to develop a "divine right of rule" philosophy in order to justify their own existence.

They are starting to accept that he is smart and he does care about his country. The only thing they have left to say now is that he is a liar.

Breaking news(CNN syle) every politician is a liar!!

Trump so far has done every initial step of a fascist when one gets in power. The only question is how far he'll actually go with it since he's definitely not a workaholic. We're all off to a bad start for fans of not living in an autocracy.

I haven't read TPP but Russia and China wanted us to leave TPP so that alone seems safe to presume us leaving it is bad.

The TTP isn't even a thing yet. Congres hasn't even passed it.

It favors some groups in this country and but others not so much. If he creates another trade agreement which is more favorable to the US then this will be a good thing.
