By your faulty logic, the German Democratic Republic was a democracy.
Why are you quoting Hitler as if he was honest about everything he said? You should read a book about what actually happened in HItlers Germany economically. Der Reich Minister basically controlled the means of production. It was completely socialist.

It's not just the white houses and republicans aren't mostly evil, generally a mix of rotten and gullible. Some are smart and kind.

Totalitarians and emotions is a great area of knowledge. Have you ever wondered how a authoritarian wants you to feel?

That or to bases it on a bunch of 30 year olds who complain about racism, equality, racism, racism, and racism while using absurd reasoning skills to conflate and equivocate stats to complain about racism some more, while railing about some people being disenfranchised because they can't use a specific bathroom.

Both options suck.

Indifference sucks. And so this complaining about weak cases about reasoning skills and stats. Reason skills and stats sounds like Dungeons & Dragons Huh?

Re: President Trump

Norway's a market economy that uses a lot of other people's money to have better outcomes than the US in many instances. Seems like using other people's money isn't so bad after all and we should probably do more of it.

Quote:
The US President made his shameless plea in a private conversation with Theresa May to plan his state visit — now postponed until next year.

Two million people signed a petition calling for Mr Trump’s proposed trip to be axed.

A transcript of the chat, seen by senior diplomats, reveals his touchiness. Mr Trump says: “I haven’t had great coverage out there lately, Theresa.”

She replies awkwardly: “Well, you know what the British press are like.”

He replies: “I still want to come, but I’m in no rush.

“So, if you can fix it for me, it would make things a lot easier.

“When I know I’m going to get a better reception, I’ll come and not before.”

Was wondering why that was not the main takeaway. Hopefully there are more trump people acknowledging they are working with the Russians in the Russian effort to interfere in our elections.

Is it now?

noun: socialism

a political and economic theory of social organization that advocates that the means of production, distribution, and exchange should be owned or regulated by the community as a whole.
synonyms: leftism, welfarism; radicalism, progressivism, social democracy;
communism, Marxism, labor movement
"my appreciation for certain aspects of socialism does not mean I'm a socialist"
policy or practice based on the political and economic theory of socialism.
synonyms: leftism, welfarism; radicalism, progressivism, social democracy;
communism, Marxism, labor movement
"my appreciation for certain aspects of socialism does not mean I'm a socialist"
(in Marxist theory) a transitional social state between the overthrow of capitalism and the realization of communism.

adjective
adjective: totalitarian

1.
relating to a system of government that is centralized and dictatorial and requires complete subservience to the state.

National Socialism was the racially motivated offspring of Marxism. Communists controlled half the Reichstag in the years before Hitler came to power, and part of Hitlers political genius was incorporating elements of Marxism and Fascism and fusing them with racialist ideas into Nazism. This gave a right appearing movement appeal to even the most vehement communists, and the Nazi party did enjoy wide swaths of support within Germany as a result.

Socialism, by definition, is government control of the means of production. The Nazi party had almost total say over what, where and how things were made in Germany. They were German industries biggest customer, per se. There are major differences between German National Socialism and Soviet Socialism, as well as Democratic Socialism ala Bernie Sanders (socialism lite), but they're all in the same family, and they're all totalitarian because they trade individual rights for communal goals and ideals, which are propagated by a large, centralized government.

The German army's and the Waffen-SS's trucks were manufactured, throughout the Second World War, by Ford and General Motors (Opel Division), the profits being repatriated to the United States through shell companies in Switzerland. Not very socialist, that.

Re: President Trump

Then of course there was whole Standard Oil -- IG Farben thing. It can be argued (and it was, by the New Republic in 1942) that Hitler's regime was partly the creation of big business.

https://newrepublic.com/article/1043...-oil-axis-ally

You are supposed to think that IG Farben, the German chemicals giant, was simply Standard Oil's biggest shareholder, but they were actually a joint company. Standard Oil supplied fuel and other strategic materials to the Nazis during wartime. IG built, owned and ran the slave-worked chemicals plant in Poland known as Monowitz or Auschwitz I. It was also the patent-holder and manufacturer of the Zyklon B used at Birkenau (Auschwitz II).

Re: President Trump

And then there's good old ITT, International Telephone and Telegraph -- during wartime, the largest shareholder in the German aircraft manufacturer Focke-Wulf. In the 1960s, ITT actually sued the US government for damage to its Focke-Wulf plants by US bombing, and was awarded $27,000,000.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/ITT_Corporation

(This would be one reason why Ford and Opel plants in Germany did not get bombed much, except by the RAF.)

Re: President Trump

It seems as Hitler had a lot of control of the means of production in these companies - so far as to conspire to withhold inventions and technology from opposing nations. It's as if he was centrally planning the his country's resources. Damn Socialists.

Scared of words like socialism because of historical association with authoritarianism. Better throw full support behind Trump.

Not just historical but future association as well. Is your head so far in the sand that you think authoritarianism has vanished?

You really can't be so astonishingly dim as to have missed that I was calling Trump an authoritarian. That was the blatantly obvious point -- YOU are supporting an authoritarian.

Ban for trolling pls.
