To tell you the truth I actually think it'll work out in our favor. I'll predict Trump will win this battle and bring the press to heel. It may take time, though.

I may be wrong, but I have a feeling there is a deep resentment by the majority of people of how the media is treating him and it'll be a real backlash in the midterms.

Only the last is acceptable to your side, and a Big R win in essentially impossible. Small D win is meh, Even or Small R win is a death knell for the Democrats.

I've referred to trumpism as small-N nazism, more simply just national socialism, and I'll be the first to admit I'm playing fast and loose, but only slightly. One of the obvious responses is that I'm disrespecting victims of the holocaust, to which I'd reply, touche, trumpism isn't responsible for a holocaust yet and surprisingly the Fakenews Fakery hasn't just invented a Fake report to convince you otherwise.

The failures of communism have been exemplified usually by Stalinism and sometimes Maoism and if we're being small-F fair and balanced the same should apply to national socialism, in that a holocaust of any form is not any sort of inherent tenet to the original Prussian-style nationalism and national-as-opposed-to-international socialism.

The point of this apparent non sequitur is twofold.

One, it's incredible and bordering on surreal how wil et deplorable al, and when I say "al" I mean allllll, like, tens of millions of mother****ers, seemingly don't even have a vague and cursory understanding of basic terms, like "left" or "liberal" or "right" or et cetera. There is no equivalent in any other topic of discussion about anything.
