You really are a weirdo freak. You search my post history and pay attention to every single thing I say about my personal life? Is that what you consider normal behavior?

And yes, I did sell out of everything except one investment. What that has to do with my posting in politics is beyond me.

You really are a bizarre person who seems borderline obsessive. Wtf is wrong with you?

I can be harsh. Many people here deserve it, though. Note that I am not rude to people who aren't rude to me first. I don't speak to Chez or well named of spaceman the way I do to others. There's a reason for that.

Lol, wil, no one here thinks you are like the pinnacle of human evil or something. We think you are a rare conservative who actually posts his views instead of this doing dumb trolling a la mongo dip****.
You've read Corvettes posts and really believe this?

Quote:
You are framing the issue incorrectly. We don't want you to pay for me, we want everyone to pay for everyone a la public schooling and roads and all of the other **** that the government does.

Also, the masses don't have to convince the people at the top that they should pay, they only need convince each other that the people at the top should pay. The top, by definition, doesn't have the numbers to stop it.
It's a social program. People have fundamental issues with it, and I can see why. I am sympathetic toward their views.

Quote:
Finally, the paragraph above is an argument for why you should want to pay. Even if you literally don't care about anyone but yourself, there's a limit to how much you can **** over the poor before they will rise up and kill you.
I generally agree with this, but I don't think that'll happen in America.

I'm not sure what you want us to do instead. wil is like the only conservative who posts any content. Of course we all respond to him.

Also it's hard to harass someone on an internet forum with voluntary participation. If he felt harassed he just wouldn't post here.
Spot on. I get tired of it sometimes. One day maybe I'll just leave forever . Pull out the "Irish exit".

A household income of $250,000 would put him in the 97th percentile (granted this is five years old but it should still be pretty close). I don't think that is solidly in the middle class.
well that is surprising to me but I think it makes things even worse. 250k really isnt that amazing and is far from having all things taken care of and no worries. that someone in the top 3% still has such problems is a pretty bad indictment of our society.

I think it's because you don't understand the nature of money. I don't think you understand many things.

By the way, it's over 250k.

I did the exercise myself when i first interacted with you. And no you have said far worse to me then that. Thats light **** comparatively. Unlike you though im more then willing to stick to topics and not insult and let bygones be bygones. Ball is in your court but understand moving the insults to the arguments is not good enough its just a new game.

Of course you're willing to let it go, you're the one who made stuff up.

I have no animosity towards you, batair. I don't hate you, I don't wish you were dead. I don't even know you. Stop making stuff up and make honest arguments and these pissing matches won't be an issue.

Healthcare is messy. I've always said that. There's no real solution until the people are willing to say screw it and will accept single payer.

Healthcare is a complete mess and I predict it will stay that way. No one likes it. No one thinks it's great. No one thinks it'll be great. The entire thing is a sham and anyone who doesn't think it sucks, and always has kinda sucked, is kinda dumb. It's not fair and it's not equal, just like our society is.

Get a job and make sure you have benefits or your own money to pay for it. Everything else is a crap shoot. We all know it sucks, dude. You don't need to run around fist-pumping celebrating failure.

Re: President Trump

Another thought about the above.

We are fundamentally different people. We are not Europeans, we are Americans and we believe in different things. We will never have a society of equals because we believe in equality of opportunity over equality of outcome. There is a good reason why things like healthcare and education in America are NOT EQUAL and NEVER WILL BE. We live in an unequally society and because that's what we chose. We aren't Europeans and we don't want to be.

If you want to live in that type of society, I encourage you to move, because that ain't happening here in our lifetimes.

So by your own admission above you're also saying Donald Trump is a liar?

Pretty interesting viewpoint you have here all things considering. One might interpret you're saying that society isn't fair so why try to do anything to improve it. Do you even know what you're saying?

You choose inequality, so actual equality is a cause for you to flee. So go on, take your own advice and go.

Depend on perspective but in general I would not disagree with your statement. Trump's claims on healthcare were always a sham. Come on dude, we all knew this. This isn't a surprise, is it?

The truth is there is no magic bullet when it comes to healthcare. Someone has to pay. Whether that's through taxes or high costs to the patients, someone is paying, which means one side will always be unhappy. Always.

This isn't going to get better, bro. It's going to be crappy unless we are willing to all pony up some sort of tax like social security. That's just the way it is. And I sure as hell don't want to pay for another entitlement. Do you?

Hell, I wish I could opt out of social security.

When you respond to posts I write by calling them "mumbo-jumbo" and including a few stock lines about delusional liberals, when it's obvious you have no actual understanding of the issues, I consider that to be pretty rude tbh. Not that you have any obligation in this regard, mind you.

Fundamentally I prefer policies that have the desired effect with minimal unintended or undesirable consequences over policies that don't work or which have excessive downside. My agreement in this case isn't predicated on an ideological commitment about which parties should bear which burdens. If tax policy is a more useful vehicle for addressing the problems being discussed than minimum wage laws, than I prefer to use tax policy.

I know exactly what I'm saying. Do you not think I've sat and thought about this? By no means am I saying we shouldn't try to make things better. We should, but not when we step over certain boundaries.

Nothing in life is fair. It's not fair Brad Pitt is better looking than me and it's not fair Kevin Durant can make a fortune playing a child's game while I sometimes have to sleep on the side of the road because I'm so tired from work. Nothing is fair, but we can embrace a society that rewards hard work. It's called "hard work" for a reason, because it's ****ing hard. People who are willing to do it get ahead. The opportunity is there for all of us (in general). It's up to us to make that happen, not government.

How can an American not believe in that?

Chalk it up to frustration. I meant nothing personal by it.
