Oh, is it "getting it right" you value?
Rasmussen's final election poll: Clinton 45, Trump 43
Actual results: Clinton 48, Trump 46
Pollsters who were closer than Rasmussen: Fox News (C48, T44), ABC/WaPo (C47, T43), Monmouth (C50, T44)
Even Rasmussen has Trump below 50% now and the other better-than-Rasmussen pollsters have him far lower. Since "getting it right" is so important, I'm sure you value Rasmussen (and Trump's approval rating) less now, right?
Side note, but it's amazing how much the right has latched on to this "can't trust pollsters" stuff after the 2016 election. 2016 polls were way closer to actual results than 2012 polls! Seriously, go look them up, why didn't we start hearing about how bad polls are 4 years ago?
(that's rhetorical, the answer is obvious - because 4 years ago the
liberal was the one they underestimated. Shockingly, liberals didn't start 4 years of blathering about how unreliable polls are after that like conservatives are doing now)
