What with the NBA finals having just started I'm struck by the parallels between trumpism and how people talked about Lebron James and Steph Curry during last year's finals. When the Cavs were down people were pooping on Lebron's head and anointing Curry as the GOAT, but then when the Cavs staged their comeback for the eventual victory then Lebron was now the hands-down GOAT and Curry was overrated and exposed.

Obviously the analogy breaks down at the edges but those two players' individual greatness has been determined by years of being individually great, not a 7game series that was basically fought to a draw as a team effort. Trumpers and trump himself seemingly have no concept of these being separate and distinct things.
