Jesus Deuces, don't bother posting if you don't understand what the point is.
I thought your point was republicans alone were responsible for removing civility from politics. My point is that the vulgarities of the democrats should not be ignored. Our system promotes people of low character on both sides, necessarily. That's a consequence of a deliberate choice to foist upon us a politics which distracts from the planned lack of democracy and instead on insults and entertainment. I see a lack of civility in both republicans and democrats.
Republicans are far more likely to be physically threatening and to be actually violent, but that's only one form of being uncivil. I think the problem of incivility is much broader and deeper. Since you used the pussy grabber comments of Trump I thought it was fair to bring up the Clinton vulgarities. Both were done behind closed doors outside a campaign. Both reveal the character of these people. I mean, I wouldn't necessarily criticize a guy for getting some on the side. I have no idea what his marriage is like and have no interest in enforcing monogamy among adults. However, the power dynamic between a 49 year old president and a 22 year old intern precludes any sort of acceptable sexual relationship- that was way worse than a pussy grab comment.
Clinton had credible charges of rape leveled against him. If people like you can't look at both Trump and the Clinton's and ask "Who the **** ARE these people?" then we have no chance of avoiding the massive ills on deck.
Our politics extends far beyond the actual candidates. The principle thought leaders among the mainstream democrats appear to be thinly educated comedians like Bill Maher, John Stewart, Seth Meyers, Trevor Noah, John Oliver, Stephen Corbet, SNL, etc. Those are the ones everyone is listening to. Do you consider them to be civil to republicans? What about The Young Turks?
Civil?
Hillary Clinton and democratic candidates having the poise and self control of Chuck-E-Cheese muppetrons (while in public at least) doesn't determine the relative levels of civility in our politics.
