So, in your opinion the many details of the Steele dossier that have been verified are ______ and the ones that have not yet been are conspiracy theories that we should test liberals to see the extent of their true beliefs by having them guess arbitrary numbers as to their authenticity? ...Cool?

I would like a citation or retraction, given that this is a content thread, on Canada having problems with terrorism and immigration. Then again, this dude can't even spell "Surgery" correctly and has no idea about the intricacies of the Canadian healthcare system.
Lol. Your arguments are so bad.

People immigrate there because it's close and it's easy to get in. I'm sure if the US was closer, they would all come here.
I've known several people that have moved away from the U.S. for good. Here are some of their reasons:
-Work Opportunities
-Universal Health Care
-Less hours worked per week
-More vacation
-Better regulations + union protections in the workplace
-Cleaner environment/better regulations
-Less poverty
-Less gun violence
-No American Republican Party
-No Trump

I provided you with a citation. If you want to ignore it, fine. That's entirely up to you.

But I proved my point.

You provided a citation that, if legit (I didn't read beyond the title and "February 6, 2017"), claimed there were 16 fake news stories about Trump in the three month period between early November and early February.

You are attempting to use that claim to argue that Trump's dumb tweets today are justified because he is today under nonstop 24/7 fake news attacks. You have not named any fake news stories Trump is currently facing.

So, uh, no.

I know hundreds of people who would never live in the US due to their healthcare. I have a cousin who had to be transported to the USA for service, because our summer home is in the middle of nowhere near the border and he tried to swallow two hot dogs without swallowing. Spat 'em out when he saw the needle they were going to give him though.

Re: President Trump

It is pretty goddamn ironic that people like the fine folks here actually think USA is the paradise and Europe is a hellhole. If anything it's totally the other way around, and our problems are all self-made (almost all due to Republican policies). It's really sad. It's always the people who have never left their home state that are terrified to death of being killed by ISIS.

Vacation and holidays are a case in point. Americans may view European workers as spoiled and pampered, but how many Americans would turn down 30 days of paid vacations a year?

Good data on vacation days around the world isn’t the easiest to come by, but according to the World Tourism Organization (via infoplease.com), here is a comparison of average paid vacation days for selected countries:

Both have their advantages and disadvantages, obviously. But, the other countries generally do more for their non top 1% than the USA does. There is mandatory maternity leave in every other Western country for example. I can't play online poker in the USA. If I win a tournament there, I have to pay taxes on it. Great fast food though.

The USA is one of the best countries in the world to be well off. It is one of the worst western countries to be poor.

Colluding with Russia to influence the election, is a pretty big current ongoing fake news story for one.

Saying that Jeff Sessions committed perjury, when it has not been proven that he did is another.

Continue to deny the obvious though as you do regularly. Intellectual dishonesty does describe your position accurately. Dan is right.

You're right. It is a HUGE unaddressed problem here. Didn't even come up in the Presidential election, and that is a massive failure.

Einbert,

Pretty brutal after 8 years of Obama and after the Dem's had plenty of control, right?

I am glad you are outraged over the failures of our corporatist dem party that has dumped all over the common man.

Kind of seems like we need the party of Bernie Sanders and not that of Hillary and the establishment third way fake liberals amirite?

Genuine question, not trolling even 1% here. How much of income inequality do you blame on politics, and especially politics at the national level?

The Dems didn't have that much control. They were able to get Obamacare passed and that was incredibly watered down from what a lot of people wanted. It was basically written by the Heritage Foundation in the 1990s, as I'm sure you know. That was about the extent of their political capital, in 2010 the Tea Party swept in as you know and it has been obstruction government ever since. For better or for worse.

I did vote for Bernie in our primary and I absolutely think we need to go in a more progressive direction with the party. At the same time we're the big tent party. We don't have any funding from labor unions any more. I'd like to see a viable plan put together as to how we could compete without corporate funds, but with labor rights being at such a low point I'm really not sure what that plan is.

The big fake news story going around right this second is that Obama wiretapped 45. And the people spreading it are all on the right: Levin, Breitbart, Trump, Fox News, etc.

Dan,

Why don't you write some really good op-ed's calling for Sessions to resign. I think that's something Democrats could be doing a lot more of right now. Let's see what you've got.

You see how hard einbert is working against Trump?

He was working like that for Bernie. Don't lecture einbert about corporatist democrats or Bernie.
