President Trump President Trump

01-22-2017 , 09:56 AM
This will be a thread discussing the Trump Presidency. We can discuss his policies, his tweets, his speeches, his decisions etc. It will be interesting to watch how his first term evolves. Hopefully we can get daily information coming in and discussed. I'm hoping we all can put aside our bias and objectively analyze what we observe. I would like to stick to the facts so we can look back on his fist term and have a clear idea if it was a success or not. This in regards to statistics. We can still express opinion.

I'll start by saying that I fully expect all of his cabinet nominees to be passed.

I would like Sean Spicer the press secretary to chill a bit in his tone. I agree with what he is saying.

Have fun!

You agree that there were 1.5 million people at the inauguration? That there were hundreds of thousands more subway rides than reported by the transit authority? Those are obvious lies from Spicer backed up by Trump. Probably in a desperate attempt to not talk about the largest protests in US history taking place at the same time all across the country.

Yes, he agrees that the press should be held accountable for reporting the truth. Of course he does. Nothing wrong with representatives of the President attacking the free press.

I wish Laura Ingraham was press secretary, I love her.

can you discuss what they were protesting? Those involved didn't know! It looked like a bunch of homeless people. Meanwhile, how gorgeous did Melania and Ivanka look? This is the difference between those with and without class.

I wouldn't mind the free press getting attacked if they were actually lying or engaging in yellow journalism. But I mind big time when the President and his people engage in outright lies and BS.

He shouldn't mind when Trump and Spicer outright lie to the US?

I bought a Trump prayer rug today and pointed it to Washington DC.

The first report out of the press after visiting Trumps oval office for the first time was that he had removed the bust of Martin Luther King. This was/is a total falsehood and eventually retracted but not before it was reported in over 3000 press stories.

The media will do anything and everything to try and make him look bad and he will rightfully fight back. He deserves the 100 day honeymoon to get started that every president ever has had. He deserves to get his cabinet confirmed.

Lets see how it plays out and give the guy a chance. An America first, pro business, pro growth country sounds pretty appealing to me and I want to see him succeed.

PissGate was 100% made-up.

What are you talking about? He had a chance to run an organized, complete turnover from the Obama administration and ****ed it up. He had a chance to pick a cabinet that didn't consist of rich people who hated the departments they were put in charge of. He had a chance to divest himself of his financial holdings so he wouldn't be in violation of laws and customs as soon as he took the oath. He had the chance to not use the Whitehouse web page to advertise for his families businesses. He had a chance to reach out to those who oppose him during his inaugural speech and after the Women's March and instead chose to widen the gap. He had a chance to accept the numbers of people who watched him become President but decided to triple down spreading lies about those numbers. How many chances does this guy need before we can start to raise our hands and ask wtf?

I like Bannon. I almost wish Bannon was president instead of Trump. I really hate Sessions for AG, he should be in charge of the border and nothing else. That's what he's right on and what he'd be good at.
01-22-2017 , 08:45 PM
What about Bannon do you like? His views against the Jews or his views against the blacks?
