So addicts switched to street drugs--heroin, China white, etc.

It was the cracking down on prescription opiate abuse that created as an unintended consequence the overdose epidemic. In this way, one could blame Obama for not having treatment programs in place. None of the states had anything in place either, but at least this criticism of Obama would make sense. In 2016, Obama and congress passed laws increasing funds for the treatment of addiction.
Autocorrect kept battling me when trying to type 'opioid' as well.

I gotta go back to reaction GIFs. The levels of I-can't-even are off the charts.

I already posted the statistics on Medicaid expansion and opiods - the correlation is irrefutable.

Note as well how many people entered the Social Security roll as jobs became scare under Obama -

Yes, the population got older. But notice the disability numbers climbing as well. I'm sure early retirement numbers grew as well.

So, yes, focusing on jobs instead of healthcare is a better policy decision in fighting the opiod epidemic and would be different under a Trump administration.

If you are a hardworking, healthy person you don't want universal health care because you don't want to be taxed at 50%+ of your income and you don't want those taxes to go to fat, lazy, sedentary slobs' health needs.

The free market system has made a segment of the American health care system elite, meaning it is the best in the world, if you can afford it. Similar with education, and other sectors, if you can afford it you want to go to school in the US (MIT, Ivy League, Juliard, etc).

The fact you think that universal health care is best for everyone everywhere just shows what an ignorant dip**** you are. It's not. A lot of people from those systems choose to pay for procedures by coming the the US for a myriad of reasons.

Yeah, I mean, real talk, Jesus Christ could not have said it better Himself.

I would think dealing with "fat, lazy, sedentary slob's" health care at the ER would be more pricey for tax payers. I suppose it's worth it tho to not let them get that *free ride*.

Trump gets a folder full of positive news about himself twice a day

Quote:
These sensitive papers, described to VICE News by three current and former White House officials, don’t contain top-secret intelligence or updates on legislative initiatives. Instead, the folders are filled with screenshots of positive cable news chyrons (those lower-third headlines and crawls), admiring tweets, transcripts of fawning TV interviews, praise-filled news stories, and sometimes just pictures of Trump on TV looking powerful.
Quote:
But the production of a folder with just positive news — and the use of the RNC to help produce it — seemed abnormal to former White House officials. “If we had prepared such a digest for Obama, he would have roared with laughter,” said David Axelrod, the senior adviser to Barack Obama during his first two years in the White House. “His was a reality-based presidency.”

What a soft little snowflake you all elected. Sad.

Btw is Buzzfeed bad? I dont know these things.

They're legit journalism postMAGA for politics, unexpectedly, if that's the metric.

Some of the stuff I'm reading on the internet would get folks put up against a wall if the war that's starting tomorrow started yesterday instead. Just a friendly reminder not to commit treason.

You are right. For some reason the largest most sophisticated attack on our election in history took place.

And no war not even a cyber one that hits them back ten times harder or adding any defenses for when they attack us again. Odd that is.

Far easier when it comes to TG. Maybe it's not true when it comes to '******' but it's clearly near the line when it comes to the general view of what's acceptable around here. It's not a big deal for people to stop using it so better to err in that direction.

Maybe Jalfrezi or some other Uker can comment but it's not a particularity UK type insult (at least not when I was in the playground). Seems more American and I tend to equate it to other more common UK insults that I'm more confident in objecting to.

I'll say many bad things about the arsenal but I would never stoop to accusing them of playing basketball.

Which ties in to the reference to "others you (I) admire." If this is referencing Fly, don't you recall my analogy about saying Fly has a wicked jump shot but he's not shooting perfect from beyond the arc? Then I said we can change that to cricket if the basketball references are failing?

The Fiasco is still strong with you but like I said, the end times are drawing nigh.
Not suggesting it was you, you're an equable chappie - I wont comment on names although it is funny the first name out of your hat was 'fly'

Yeah change it to cricket. Fly struggles against the forward defense and the straight bat. Lots of pace and aggression but has serious flaws in his technique. Top quality sledging.
