Pretty much the same situation as Kathy Griffin though and it's totally not surprising that you want to burn one of these people at the stake and apologize for the other. Your "First they came for socialists" thing was utter bull**** obviously.
Hey Microbet, can you tell the difference between these two pieces of fruit:

Jiggy's got a point. Pewdienazi's conduct was far worse than Griffin's.

Is the military a social experiment?
Yeah, that's tiny compared to just the health care budget for the military.

Still, worst case scenario is not covering transition related care. It should be offensive to any American to throw TGs out of the service.

100% sure though that you really don't care about this issue. Sure, you love to beat up on a minority, but if Trump would have embraced TGs in the military you absolutely without doubt would have been bragging about how great it was for Trump to do that.

You're point, that joking about killing Jews is fundamentally different and less bad than joking about cutting off Trump's head, is wrong and not surprising coming from you.

I don't think either was a big deal and the reaction to both was insane but the two are clearly fundamentally different.

Kathy Griffin's was a political statement that had everything to do with Trump himself. The pewdiepie thing was a joke about blasphemy/capitalism and had nothing to do with actual Jewish people.

You're right. Because that's what being a non-partisan is like. It's much better than your bigotry. Tell me, any scenario you're ok with a TG ban?

That's like, exactly the opposite of being non-partisan.

Trump using evidence instead of pushing an agenda is certainly non-partisan.

As opposed to discriminating against TGs for 7 years and then saying "TGs in the military, no matter what." That's an agenda.

That's a pretty creative reading of "if Trump would have embraced TGs in the military you absolutely without doubt would have been bragging about how great it was for Trump to do that."

(edit: Microbet is saying that if Trump had reached the opposite conclusion *on the same evidence* you would have supported it, to be clear)

Also I don't think most of us are as willing as you to pretend that Trump uses evidence to arrive at his decisions.

We are post peak-Jiggy and what we are left with is quite sad.

well to be honest, on this issue since I really dont' care I'd prob support w/e trump wants to do. I don't know whats wrong about that

Saying "I don't care so I support whatever he wants to do" is a lot different than defending whichever side he chooses. Presumably in order to defend it you would need to do some research on the subject, and if you did some research on the subject you would probably come to your own opinion.

Well, the question wasn't about whether it's wrong, but whether it's partisan. Your attitude is obviously partisan, and so is jiggy's, whether he denies it or not. I think it's also wrong, but that's a different argument.

Like the needless wall and interferences in states rights. Small government is just a talking point most conservatives use for things they don't like but ignor for things they do.

Regarding pewdiepie, if I'm not mistaken he has the most subscribers out of anyone on youtube.

Regarding the popularity of gaming content on youtube and twitch with adults, I think it's pretty easy to explain. People that are in their thirties now grew up with Nintendo, Super Nintendo, N64, Sega Genesis, etc., and many had siblings. They would not only play games together, but watch each other play as well, so watching someone play video games is something that lots of people who are now adults grew up doing, and still enjoy doing.

Finally I get a straight answer out of someone!

I have not read any of the WSJ pieces on pewdiepie, so I cannot comment on your assessment of them being hit pieces. I am not a subscriber, so I cannot read them even if I wanted to.

Are you a WSJ subscriber?

I don't agree with your "multitude of arguments and the best ones win", but I agree with the multitude of voices part. I too primarily consume media on youtube, and I think the dismissal of youtube that is common on these forums is unwarranted. Yes, there is a lot of garbage, but there is a lot of great content as well, and it provides regular, every day people a platform to express themselves in whatever way they like. There are so many different things on youtube that you simply would never find on television.

I mean seriously, is cable television better than youtube? lol if that's the assertion. Aside from a lot of bull**** corporate decisions they make regarding advertising, youtube kicks ass. Hating on youtube is kind of like hating on what makes the internet great - anyone can be a content creator, and anyone can access that content whenever they want.
