Ya and I'm for less centralized government, not more, so I disagree with that outcome. If it doesn't violate the constitution, it shouldn't be illegal. What is illegal is stripping away states rights and giving them to the federal government without a constitutional amendment.

I'm sorry I don't understand your question. The Supremacy clause establishes that laws issued by the federal government (US criminal code) have supremacy over others. So long as that law does not override explicitly granted states (and thus, municipal) rights within the constitution, I believe they're legal and binding on San Fransisco and its police force.

Apparently you don't know what Sanctuary cities are. There's nothing the sanctuary cities have done that changes immigration law. The cities are just saying that their local police forces are not going to enforce federal law. I would think that you would support cities being able to choose what they do with their own staff.

Federal law may take precedence but that does not mean that local law enforcement is obliged to take orders from federal law enforcement.
