One special gem about stuff like this is that for all the ways Obama disappointed liberals, you don't see them literally celebrating the ways Obama did so. You can say what you want about Republicans not working with Obama, but at the end of the day Obama couldn't get a a single Republican to vote for Obamacare. Unlike GW Bush, who DID pass his major legislation (tax cuts and the Iraq War) with Democrat votes. Obama's arrogant response was "Elections have consequences" - so yeah, he was inept and should have stayed in Washington to work on a compromise. Even if that was - hey, we're not doing healthcare, let's focus on jobs. You don't always get what you want.

Trump is playing this smart - listen you ****ers, Obamacare is going to blow up, so you better figure this **** out. Enjoy the heat, I'm going to golf bitches.

Both parties should be knocking themselves out - good for them. There's a reason Congress's approval rating are even worse than Trump's.

Trump certainly is a model for those who want to minimize work and maximize leisure. That's a good thing.

That's a cool story but you didn't answer my questions?

I'd like BitchiBee to explain to JiggyMac who, exactly, the innocent people were that he's upset about Obama droning

He's worked his butt off, in the midst of the most vitriolic ,negative, hysterical media environment ever seen in modern times.

He deserves a break.

LOL. The guy watches TV for hours every day and spends more time away from his job than any other recent president. Stick to Jiggy's "I don't care about the other stuff, I just care about his actions" line, because trying to pretend like Trump "works his butt off" is HILARIOUSLY false.

At least he went to Wisconsin.

I'm not big on the 'citation' thing, but Obama did bomb an awful lot of Yemenis. I'd also put ISIS civilian casualties at his feet too. But perhaps I can be convinced.

Sure I did.

It all has to do with getting your work done. Get **** done, go golfing for all I care. Think you can run this country with a "pen and a phone", go clap erasers until you learn about to be real President.

Which - remember how the right said "Hey, don't do that executive order ****. You won't always be in power." Well, what was done with a pen can be undone with the same stroke.

Undoing regulations (16 for 1 by the current count) is also doing something and governing less. Funny how that works, eh?

Trump's worked hard at not governing. Or he hasn't, but that's fine, because not working hard is good too. Obama is lazy at governing too much.

Or something.

Fun to watch the cat chase its tail trying to make Republicans the hard workers of doing nothing and Democrats the lazy busy buddies.

He's doing research, numb-nuts.

Low energy clown-god cheeto needs August off after playing tax-payer-funded golf on 20% of his days in office.

If you get Girls Gone Wild commercials you've researched too much.

Reminds me of an oldie but a goodie from earlier in this thread:

Why do I bring this up? Some of the regulatory rollback or freezing that the Trump admin wants to do includes things like not updating exposure levels for carcinogens:

Quote:
The Labor Department, for example, removed from its long-term agenda a proposal to stiffen exposure standards for styrene, a chemical used in plastics that has been identified as a carcinogen, and 1-bromopropane, a chemical solvent that is a neurotoxin. It is also jettisoning plans to change permissible exposure limits for some substances that were set in 1971.

In a 2011 letter to the department, the U.S. Chamber of Commerce wrote that given the fact that the permissible exposure limits were set four decades ago, they “do not reflect current technology or contemporary understandings of exposure levels and should be updated.”
The government that governs best is the one that lets more businesses give cancer to poor people near industrial areas.
