Thread has gotten completely unreadable (says guy reading it) and a lot of it is because of the completely inscrutable moderation decision to allow mongidig to continue posting.

Correct, I don't think self-deputizing and flirting with treason would be a good idea.

Of course, what you're attempting is to build a defensible scenario for Trump jr, who did take the meeting, but pretty obviously not for the purpose of law enforcement.

Considering there was nothing to enforce, what would you expect?

Combining these two together, JM already has over 30 posts in this thread, today, and it's still morning on the west coast - can I get a ruling from the Trumpkins on if that's "obsessive"?

If someone contacts you and offers to sell you 25 kilos of heroin obviously you take the meeting to find out if there is really heroin.

If someone contacts you and offers you naked pictures of a 10-year-old obviously you have to download and view the pictures to see if they're legit before reporting it, right Jiggy?

Except this isn't offering heroin. Why do you have to keep being reminded it is not illegal to receive this information?

It is not illegal to go to a meeting to receive the Pentagon papers, or to attend a meeting with someone to see if they might have had the Pentagon papers. And it's also then not illegal to not report that said person did not in fact have the Pentagon Papers. Your analogy is wrong.

You're the one floating the hypothesis that trump jr took the meeting for some sort of investigatory purposes.

It also would not have been illegal for Don Jr. to have come out of that meeting with Hillary's emails and publish them the next day. It's only illegal for Seth Rich to break into the DNC servers. Even giving the information to Wikileaks wasn't illegal.

It's not just that article. This "cite" everything that can be looked up easily is dumb.

The women's only part of the army is the YPJ. The wiki page lists the strength as of March at 24k. I have seen other estimates at 30k and it has been growing so both numbers could easily be more or less correct.

There are lots of YouToobz showing them engaging ISIS.

IDK man, earlier you seemed to think taking a meeting to enlist the aid of a "hostile foreign power" to commit espionage on a United States citizen was a bad thing. *shrug*

I did try to look it up a bit. Apologies for missing this (and after the last cite bait and switch, I figured putting the onus on the claimant a safer strategy).

I still don't think this is evidence of the most feminist government. Progressive, and even more so for a Muslim...diaspora (they're not really a country). An outlier like Uganda unfortunately. A good outlier, but an outlier nonetheless.

There are multiple variables here.

No matter what angle you want to take, the conclusion is still the same:

There's more in the wiki page on Rojava and there are talks on youtube (David Graeber is good in particular). But, it's too much to give you a million links.

It's not front page news, but it's not exactly hard to find on the internet either.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Rojava

And yes, it is an outlier, because nationalist governments hate egalitarian anti-authoritarian, non-nationalist movements. It can exist and maybe reach a point where it has some security only because the authoritarian regimes are falling apart, busy elsewhere or using them as an ally of convenience. But it's 4.5 million people and the biggest experiment in direct democracy maybe in world history.

I'll have to look into it. That's great! I wish them well. What a fine example, hope others follow suit.

A while back I pointed out how terrible one of your plays was in the poker forum. Ever since then you has been trying to get me back. I would suggest getting better at poker and at taking constructive criticism. I'd be happy to help you out if you want

It is when it adds up to nearly 60,000
